Do you think personally with your own opinion in your head that a US service member with any form of clearance that is not part of any official diplomatic channels that is part of the actual federal government should be spied on by the federal government if they are traveling to foreign countries and talking with foreign leaders and diplomats without any authorization from the federal government?

 

I don’t think anyone cares about or even knows who Tulsi Gabbard is.

Having said that - if there is any validity to her claims, I hope she prevails.

Quite frankly as a reserve servicemeber with clearance hanging out with guys like Modi and not being part of any federal diplomat channels is asking to be surveilled. I would expect nothing different if I did the same thing. If I was a servicemeber with clearances hanging out with Narendra Modi you bet your ass i expect to be surveilled.

Sen. Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., who's no longer in Senate Republican leadership, voted against Tulsi Gabbard's nomination to serve as director of national intelligence.

McConnell also voted against Pete Hegseth for defense secretary, but he was ultimately confirmed by the Senate.​

 

Unlike most other Republicans, he can vote according to his actual beliefs and doesn't feel he owes fealty to Dear Leader.

 

He's old as hell, got everything he wanted from being in power, and now finds some room to go against the party line.
