    The fat guy lost a lot of weight with surgery so that he wouldn't die by 45 - good call, but his voice changed and he isn't the same.

    i respect their talent and musical ability... but never cared much for their sound.

    Blues Traveler didn't get popular until 94, Spin Doctors in 92. At that point, grunge was hugely popular already - Nirvana was the biggest band in the world in 91. Kurt was dead by the time that Blues Traveler had their first hit. Pearl Jam, STP, Soundgarden, the Pumpkins, all those guys were well established before Blues Traveler.

    Typical 90's jam band fare. They are all great musicians, but besides the speed harp solos, there's really nothing interesting happening musically. Just not a lot of soul in their music in my flea bitten opinion.

    They formed in 87 and had legacy label promotion from pre-grunge.

    They were incubated through the aimless years.
