I like you; I would break bread with you and think highly of you.

Having said that, a lot of the opinions you have of Americans and the day-to-day life of Americans is essentially a canned version of what a small number of people online push and discuss and really isn't consistent with a large part of America or Americans. Some of that is a reflection of how blunt Americans are (because most Americans believe that they are the center of the universe).

I agree with your thesis - it's too early to tell anything, other than Trump is very active in attempting to fulfill campaign promises and act on his agenda. But as you mentioned - this is a high water mark for Trump. And Biden peaked at about 54%. I don't think it makes sense to go back to Eisenhower in evaluating approval polls.

We live in hyperpartisan times. I think the times of presidents drawing above 60% approval ratings is long gone, and not coming back.

Biden was at 57% at this point in his Presidency.

Obama was over 60% when he was elected and didn't dip below 60% until 6 months in office.

GW Bush was at 56% at this same point.

So the Trump approval rating is low compared to recent Presidents.... and that isn't good....... but it is higher than his first term and that is good... and it makes sense, as Trump won his second term more handily than the first. What is going to be hard for him, is that his actual policies at this point are not very popular overall. Parts of them are, but overall they are not -- and that isn't shocking too, as he only got 48.5% of the popular vote.

He got 49.8% of the popular vote. Maybe you're thinking of Harris's 48.3%.

I feel like that's generally the consensus these days among the political parties - they make very little effort to appeal to the center or to the other side. They churn out the base. All the gerrymandered districts means there is very little need to appeal to anyone but.

    Respect you too of course.

You could just as easily say anyone's opinion is inconsistent with America in your opinion, I'm not sure how that really affects what I'm saying.

I'm not sure which American group I'm consistent with as you're describing on Reddit, but my opinion is more in line with global politics than American politics is maybe that you're detecting. I've not seen any links posted here from publications I don't read or any angles I haven't heard so I'm not sure what's so novel about the American perspective. It's a perspective that keeps trying to fix something that hasn't been broken for 60-70 years (each other). It's the exact same game our fake elected presidents play. We've seen the script. Maybe you haven't seen it because you don't read our news. We've seen it all.

It's just obvious to everyone else because we've seen the other face of your government and we're not patriotic about your country. I'm sure people in this country are irrational about their country too. It's normal.

Dude, you dont have any proof of corruption. You dont. Your SOURCES ARE BIASED. But you probably think my sources are biased so there is no way to talk to you. Do you even know what FEMA does dude? Or the USAID and how it benefits US?? If you dont agree with how the funds are spent, that's fine. But dont call it corruption or a slush fund. You are literally relying on the word of mouth of Elon Musk without oversight. Do you believe the 50 million dollars in condoms to Gaza story, yes or no?

No I wasnt(I didnt like his immigration policies), I didnt like everything Obama did and he made some mistakes, especially with his foreign policiy. Trump does other racist things and his immigration policies are also racist yes. Did you also believe that Hatians were eating dogs too? Because that was a lie. Did you criticize Trump for it? And again, you focus on illegal immigration like its ever going to affect your life in any meaningful way.

When you believe things that are clearly lies, that is cult like behavior. Please tell me the mistakes Trump has made that you did not support, I would like to hear them. You cant fathom how anyone can support the IRS and USAID because what??? Trump told you so? Your news sournces said they were corrupt when you didnt look into them further. Or like Illegal Immigration you focus on a few bad actors and thus mass deportation is a good thing?

maybe. maybe not. Trump ran against Obama's heir apparent in 2016 and beat her. hard to say what would happen. Certainly the 2008 Obama would clean up. The 2012 Obama would struggle a bit more. A 2016 Obama? hard to say

He's still saying we're going to "take" Gaza.

Any Trump supporters want to tell me how they square this with his promise to end wars?
