Sometimes the type of car you drive can cause people to be aggressive on the road

Small hatchback type cars get bullied all the time by other drivers and tailgate even when not driving slow.

Oddly, I notice minivans to be some of the most aggressive/reckless drivers (Altimas as well of course)

    You are absolutely correct.
    • There tend to be certain personality types that buy certain types of cars.
      • Little cars are kids, ladies or poor folk. Essentially people you would push around if you were a bully
      • Minivans are going to be distracted women with kids
      • Big boxy cars like Buicks are going to be old people
      • SUVs are an outlier but the different packages appeal to different demographics
      • Big jacked up trucks are assholes
      • Trucks in general are dudes, different packages will gravitate to different demos
      • 'Luxury' brands like BMW, Lexus, etc, can be assholes.
      • Tesla drivers are in a class of their own when it comes to cluelessness.
    • Studies have shown that body language and personal space extends to people's vehicles. If you're a dick and need to flex on people, you do it on the road.
My wife drove a grey minivan for a while (I hated it) and was either invisible or bullied. She got rear ended three times in her road-colored vehicle. I upgraded her to a red 4Runner and it's been night and day for her. She's 'big' enough to be visible and not to be trifled with.

I personally drive a blue FJ Cruiser with 34" mud tired with a 2 inch lift. I didn't buy it to muscle anyone, I just like it and it's 4WD. But the side effect is that I am very visible and fairly big on the road. I don't get bullied. And I'd be lying if I said I didn't show a little flex when I'm passing someone who cluelessly cut me off while they were driving distracted. It's not overtly aggressive, I just want to make a point that hey, don't be a dick and cut people off.

No, they are always a single occupant in the car. I guess they could be in a rush to pick up their kids.

As**ole drivers come in all shapes, sizes, colors, creeds and modes of transportation.

But BMWs and Teslas are the worst.

    Nope.

Renegade unregulated commercial trucks are way, way worse than the showboy pickups (we don't have many of those up here, people are smart enough to use pickups for pickup reasons). I do imagine that's a massive problem in suburbs of Anywhere, Texas

No disrespect, I'm just saying the counties of Llano, Mason, McCulloch and San Saba add up to be like 40 thousand people across 4 thousand square miles and thats hardly representative for what most people experience experience in the state.

That's not sh*t talking you, I'd swap zip codes with you real, real quick.

There are 165K people within 30 miles of downtown Marble Falls, and they're building beaucoup subdivisions to accommodate more. I'd assume Johnson City is about the same, demographically.

If it was as Podunk, Nowhere as you think, none of you cityboys would overrun the area every weekend. Yall could always stay home in Dallas.

I wish I still had a place up north around where you're talking about. San Saba would have been perfect but I got goatf**ed out of that option.
