Lonzo would be cheaper + better fit in Ime system. Lonzo is 6'6 FVV in half-court + terror in fastbreak.
Entice Melo with Lonzo and a medical service to the leg amputation of Lavar. Memorial Herman. Sign Gelo to an entertainment deal. Lonzo Lamelo Brooks - Monk Amen Sengün
They just gave him an extension because they believe in him. I doubt they make him available for a trade. I think LaMelo could be had eventually.
I can see it, but I also can´t. He has injury problems and his numbers so far don´t translate to winning. But his talent and offensive skills are undenieable. But I kinda see Trae as a more realistic target. Also a non-defender and a "problematic" player, but I feel like he is getting heavily undervalued at least by fans and the media. He is one of the best passers and shooters in the game and also seems to be a clutch performer. For the same price I would prefer Trae and I even think, that he would be cheaper than Lamelo. Still I would be fine with trying for both as long as we don´t get gutted in the process.
I think CHI perceives that he has value + the extension is just to generate a better return. Giddey + White are the Bulls present + future backcourt.
Lamelo is a baller but the Hornets won't trade him for anyone on our roster I don't think. We'd have to give Sengun + Thompson to have them consider it
IMO at this point it's quite clear that if the opportunity arises this summer Charlotte will trade LaMelo. Not because of pure talent, LaMelo has a ton of it. But because under their new leadership CHA's build cycle has been rebooted. It's totally natural: it's a billionaire, and a set of FO executives with one shot to run a team - they ofc want to build with the people they've drafted / signed / believe in. LaMelo isn't one of them. Particularly if they get a top pick. If CHA gets Flagg or Harper they will want to to re-establish their entire team hierarchy. So HOU can probably get LaMelo if we want this summer. Do we want? He fits the talent, fit, age, and contract profile perfectly. The question is whether our leadership think that counterbalances the ankle and personality considerations, and want to take the swing.
Games played: 51 75 36 22 34 owed: 38M 41M 44m 46M No defense Cost to get: 1 core player, 4-5 frps I think I'll pass.
Exactly right. This new ownership gives us some hope. There is risk with the ankles but I don't see a better option coming up anytime soon. I also don't think his ankles have been abnormally problematic this season. He has missed games for his wrist too and most of the games missed seems to be a tanking team taking no risks.
