Green will never be an alpha. Need to get rid of him in the offseason, and if Stone can't do it, get rid of him as well. $20M in expiring contracts and you don't make one ****ing move worth a **** to improve this team.
What a rough stretch. Hopefully its the last. Obviously the offense and defense disappearing in the 4th is of huge concern. But still good to see even after being down key guys, we were still in the games right until the last few mins against some really good teams as well.
What move would improve this team in the long term without jeopardizing some core players? This team isn’t the Lakers or Warriors who were desperate to make a deep postseason run or to save their season. This team is still a young team who found recent success. What move could push us to immediate contenders? We are similar to OKC last year. Perhaps not as good even but this team is still growing with our young core. No rush to break that core up or get bogged down with a contract for a player that marginally makes us better or break up our core. Btw Green was one of our best players and the best player on the team for several of those games within the 6 game losing streak.
Ah yup, the apologists.....the regular season is for a reason the regular season. Half of the contenders are not even giving it 100%......Udoka knows this and that is why is hell bent on making the Playoffs. You cannot even call it a Core until they are Battle tested in the Playoffs. The gathering of data is mediocre at best.
What contenders aren’t giving it 100%? Where does this information come from bedsides your unsubstantiated opinion? That’s your definition of core. I mentioned the specific core players likely to be in a deal involving a star including Amen.
