Boston did nothing, okc did nothing, denver did nothing, dallas made themselves worse, bucks tanked, memphis did nothing. Basically only the cavs made a trade to try to improve.
It is impossible to judge because one doesn’t know EVERYTHING about EVERY aspect of EVERY opinion of EVER opportunity that was presented or not presented. Him being firm and doubling down on the core speaks volumes about how he feels about the entire core going forward. Would I have liked to see a trade or three yes but look at my posting history and know the Rockets are better in his than mine.
I like our players, but there’s no superstar on this roster. Stone is doing a good job, but he has decisions to make as far as consolidating to get a superstar. Until we have a Batman with the inconsistencies will never go away.
Which of those teams was riding a 6 game losing streak + struggled to execute even a semblance of half court offense after blowing double digit leads in 4th quarter? These 4th quarter collapses occurred even in Rockets wins. Which of those teams fell from #2 to #5 in West?
I believe at the time none of those teams (rockets included) were riding 6 game losing streaks. Obviously the rockets are in the class of any of those teams as far as being a contender. The post i responded to said "every other contender made moves". The truth is outside of the cavs, ZERO contenders made moves. What you said is completely irrelevant to what i responded to.
The writing was on wall even before the prolonged losing streak, Rockets were winning ugly too often + everyone was ignoring the elephant in the room.
This is all your projection & nothing of substance. That 3 year worst record comment is the most ungrateful, egotistical comment a idiot fan can make. It's called a 3 year tank. BTW, San Antonio did the same thing & nobody's bringing it back up on their GM. Only Rafael Stone gets this from a low IQ portion of Rocket fans unfortunately
We've gone back and forth on this, there was nobody available (unless you think Luka was, in which case i'd agree with you) that would have made any difference this season. Jokic? Sure, Shai? sure, but that's about the list.
I don't see it One of the only trades he has done is seeing Garrison Mathews playing well and getting minutes x Atl. Nothing else has produced squat
Rob williams would make zero difference, though if he was available for expirings/2nds i'd have done it, he fits well (in the few games he plays)
The "Are the Rockets running on fumes" thread was created 3 weeks before the Trading deadline. Everyone could see it.
Ya for sure, you think he makes the rockets a contender and i don’t. We just have vastly different team building beliefs.
