Most overrated GM in basketball. Yeahhhh we’re competitive, but he should have been let go when he hired Silas and let Jarrett Allen go for zippo. Also, when he had to cut about 5 of his lame picks (Christopher, Ty Ty, Garuba, etc.). Any of us on this board wouldbe competitive with four top 4 picks in 4 years. He’s a lawyer with no basketball background and doesn’t make good basketball trades (with the exception of Oladipo ). He’s not the GM to take us to the next level….he’s the guy to take us to the same level of competitive due to 4 top 4 picks and nothing more out in the very tough West.
I do believe a better GM would have shored up the bench at least at the deadline. It's kind of negligent he didn't do anything.
I think to leave this team that’s obviously completely on fumes at this point with no additional depth was a mistake. Why not get Grimes? Coby White? No need to mortgage the future, but surely we have the assets to have made some trades for more depth and shooting. This team needs the All Star Break. Giving 120% every night defensively and all on effort doesn’t work for 82 games.
I'm noticing pretty much everyone besides Amen seems to be caught flat footed multiple times per game. I like the fact that we play hard, we should be playing 10+ guys nightly to make sure we don't get down. The problem is all of our playable depth is concentrated in the front court. Should have used some combination of Jock / Jeff / Tate / Holiday to get us some help. This team actually deserves better.
Can’t fall in love with the core 5-7 players anymore. if it’s not Amen, anyone can go and stop crying about it. All players should be on the trading block this off season…..
What is the Coaching Staff doing that is the Real Issue. Not giving any minutes to NFaly Dante who can get 10 rebs, 3 blocks. Amen Thompson, Tari Eason guarding Anthony Davis was ridiculous.
