Trump pardoned a lot of the very wealthy guys commiting massive Medicare and Medicaid fraud. The richer they are the softer they fall in Trump's world. I just listed a couple excerpts, but these are the types that should be locked up without a key. You really think Trump gives a damn about anyone's healthcare? I don't. I bet it's way way way down the list behind stuff like building a resort in Gaza, getting rich off the family crypto business, getting his face on Mt. Rushmore, firing anyone not willing to pledge 100% loyalty to him, and sticking it to the Dems.

Trump’s pardons included health care execs behind massive frauds

Trump commuted the sentence of former nursing home magnate Philip Esformes in late December. He was serving a 20-year sentence for bilking $1 billion from Medicare and Medicaid.

Prosecutors had accused Melgen of endangering patients with needless injections to treat macular degeneration and other unnecessary medical care, describing his actions as “truly horrific” and “barbaric and inhumane,” according to a court filing.

Melgen “not only defrauded the Medicare program of tens of millions of dollars, but he abused his patients — who were elderly, infirm, and often disabled — in the process,” prosecutors wrote.

These treatments “involved sticking needles in their eyes, burning their retinas with a laser, and injecting dyes into their bloodstream.”

Prosecutors said the scheme raked in “a staggering amount of money.” Between 2008 and 2013, Medicare paid the solo practitioner about $100 million. He took in an additional $10 million from Medicaid, the government health care program for low-income people, $62 million from private insurance, and approximately $3 million in patients’ payments, prosecutors said.

    Nuh uh. I asked first.

This forum exists because people want to discuss politics. I don't think you should be concerned over why someone posts in this section.

You didn't even vote. You probably shouldn't even be here if anyone should leave, it's you.

Come on, there are quite a few things that are better. Have you tried sex yet? Hell, a soda is more enjoyable than seeing anyone suffer. And I hate soda.

The leaning, independent, and swing voters who wanted lower prices know it was MKT BS now. They certainly didn't vote for Project 2025. Obviously, the nearly 40% of non-voters also didn't vote for that. They all hated Project 2025.

Go search for who Biden pardoned or Obama/Clinton/Bush etc... the pardons are BS regardless of party. Speaking of pardons the Biden's, Fauci etc... should be in jail. There are several people that Republican POTUS have pardoned that should be in jail also.

The part of USAID that actually gives Aid to people in need will still exist and be overseen by the State Department and Rubio. So there will be little change except for the cutting of the fat/corruptin/fraud. You should be happy about this but I'm not surprised that you're not.

How, for what the money was distributed is where the fraud was located is what the fraud was/is. Then Global/Dems slush fund is being shutdown and that's what your issue really is. People in need will still be able to get what they need under Rubio's watch.

They're going to get around to looking into fraud at the pentagon, give them time. The entire govt is going to be looked at with a fine tooth comb in an effort to cut out fraud. To think you've got an issue with this makes me SMH, but I'm not surprised.

If that was what was happening, then it could be a good thing (though questions remain about the relevant expertise in the State department to manage this). However, the notion that humanitarian assistance will see little change does not comport with the reality of what’s happening:

    https://www.nytimes.com/2025/02/08/...ytcore-ios-share&referringSource=articleShare

What have been the effects of the aid freeze?
As organizations across the globe reeled, the Trump administration switched gears. Mr. Rubio announced that “lifesaving humanitarian assistance” could continue but that the reprieve would be “temporary.”

But by then, hundreds of senior officials and workers who help distribute American aid had already been fired or put on leave, and many aid efforts remain paralyzed.

Dozens of clinical trials in South Asia, Africa and Latin America have been suspended. The freeze left people with experimental drugs and medical products in their bodies, cut them off from the researchers monitoring them and spread fear.

In South Africa, for example, the freeze shut down a U.S.A.I.D.-funded study of silicone ringsinserted in women to prevent pregnancy and H.IV. infection.

About 2.4 million anti-malaria bed nets, manufactured to fulfill U.S.-funded orders and bound for countries across sub-Saharan Africa, were stuck in production facilities in Asia. Those contracts are frozen because the U.S.A.I.D. subcontractor that bought them is not allowed to talk to the manufacturer under the terms of the freeze.

In Uganda, a national anti-malaria program suspended spraying insecticide into village homes and halted shipments of bed nets for distribution to pregnant women and young children.

And in Syria, the executive order threatens a U.S. program supporting security forces inside a notorious camp, known as Al Hol, in the Syrian desert that holds tens of thousands of Islamic State members and their families, Syrian and U.S. officials said.

It sounds like you are saying you agree with Trump pardoning some of the biggest fraudsters of Medicare and Medicaid, but are fine with him firing a bunch of workers in USAID who haven't been convicted of criminal acts. o_O If Trump says they are a criminal organization you believe it. If Trump denies commiting criminal acts you believe it. Let me tell you the story 'bout a billionaire con who lies compulsively and doesn't care about anyone but the wealthy.

Where did you get this from? I dont think anybody should be pardoned on either side. Except some trumped up drug convictions and SOME of the J-6'ers.
