While there’s no doubt Simmons make us a legit Finals contender and instantly the best in the West, I imagine there are 20+ other teams begging him to join. His home is in LA and that is where he wants to be. Only question is if it is the Clippers or Lakers. Don’t think the Lakers can afford him. This is the superstar we have been missing and I can’t believe he’s available! Death, taxes, and Stone sitting on his arse are the only guarantees in life…..so congrats to the Clippers!!!

Maybe the Nets buyout DLo since he’s helping them win games?

Maybe some people aren't aware of this but...

No one we pick up in the buyout market will play a significant role on a healthy rockets team this year.

Buyout guys have a bigger impact on very top heavy teams that haven't been able to fit a full rotation under the cap. The rockets are a deep team that will likely have some decent players left off the playoff rotation that have been contributing while key guys have been out.

Except that we're thin in one critical area, which is half-court playmaking.

Sure, but who are we not playing from our healthy rotation to get Ben Simmons minutes?

    Backup pg slot, so Holiday/Sheppard.

If you see him as a point guard, I guess the obvious answer would be "all of Holiday's minutes and a few of FVV's". If you see him as more of an F/C, I guess it'd be some combination of Steve-O, Landale, Tate.

Ben Simmons is a good role player esp if he only making vet min. We arent getting him as a star so not sure why people are against it.

As a non shooter that can playmake i see him as a 3/4 like Amen and Tate currently are.

I would rather just play Amen/Reed/Jalen those backup PG minutes and let them learn. We know Ben Simmons is not a part of the longterm future of this team and we know he won't win us a playoff series. So, playing time significant minutes over the young guys is just a waste of time.

We also need to win we dont have our pick so losing games for development doesnt benefit us. Amen and Sheppard will still get mins on the court and they can learn by watching FVV and Simmons and see how it is done.

Meanwhile the Rockets have lost in every game that Reed has gotten significant minutes.

Just like the Spurs lost last night due to giving your boy Castle 30 minutes.
