Ime should work out Lonnie Walker or Kendrick Nunn. https://basketnews.com/news-219335-lakers-buyout-market-strategy-shooting-guard-priority.html
Bones Hyland has my endorsement. Splits: Home: 104 (DRtg)....110 (ORtg)...45.9 (FG%)...44.2 (3P%)...90.9 (FT%)...64.6 (TS%) Make Toyota Center your new home. .
PJ or Wiseman?? PJ is old and provides nothing to this team we don't already have. Wiseman, you want to sign a player that's out for the season?
Hyland can make an open jumper, and shooting should be the priority. Worth a flyer. That said, if no shooters are available I’d gladly take Simmons, Smart or Brown. Assuming they become available.
Technically... teams can also trade if they are eliminated from the playoffs, once the playoffs start.
If we could get both Simmons and Hyland I think I'd actually be very happy with our rotation--hell, give them non-guaranteed multi-year deals. Play Simmons more as a forward/center and Hyland as a combo guard. Get Holiday, Tate, Landale out of the rotation entirely, get the minutes down a bit for the starters to preserve their legs for the playoffs.
Better passer, shooter than both, at least for now (career 7.5 assists per 100 possessions, career 36.4% three point shooter).
If some of you think Cam's attitude is bad, you're not going to want Hyland on the team. I said this in other threads because I had a connection to key Nugs personnel guy, but their GM said it in an interview as well--he's a me first player who doesn't play defense is the summary for those that don't want to read... https://sports.yahoo.com/nuggets-gm-shockingly-honest-answer-002750991.html Remember he requested a trade mid-year that ended up with the Nuggets winning the championship. If he'd just sucked it up and played his role, he'd be a World Champion now. I know we get tantalized by his shooting stats, but culture and fit within a team are important for what we're trying to build. This is a pro Bones video, but he covers the young man's past and issues he's had with the Nuggets and Clippers... His take away is that Bones could thrive in the right situation, but that situation is where he's getting playing time and allowed to shoot. He doesn't play defense and I don't think he'd get time over Holiday or Reed because of that. He really needs to go to a team that can give him minutes and needs some razzle dazzle to help bring fans to games. Maybe some place like CHA, BRN or TOR would be better fits.
Rockets could pick up Smart AND Simmons! just imagine the floor spacing running with lineups such as: Amen Smart Tate Simmons Sengun
