Ime needs to be patient and wait till Jalen Green is ready to be numero uno

 

How can you argue all day Sengun's our "superstar" and "best player" but criticize Jalen Green for not closing games like Edwards? That responsibility should go to our allstar

 

Our Rockets are actually in an enviable position. The rebuild is so far ahead of schedule that what we are lacking would get in the way of natural/ organic development, whilst costing assets we need to move later for the right targets. We were never going to win a title this year. Look to the offseason for moves. Let the youngins grow.

 

I think Green can get there but it's going to take him adding weight and working on his shot

 

That offense is outdated. Teams are playing for 3s, and we are playing for 2s through Sengun....IT DOES NOT EQUATE TO WINS, unless we are playing stellar defense.

And if Jabari is not on the court, we don't have a defender who can protect the rim. People who continued to say Sengun's defense improved are starting to see that it really has not.

It's the players AROUND him that hide his defencies.

 

it'd be nice if we could have a coach that can draw an out of bounds play.

 

Jalen Green must realize he needs to add muscle to go against Heavy Weight Guards. 15 lbs of will help his balance, not being pushed around and hacked easily. Lifting Weights, Leg Presses. Building up Calves and Biceps, Triceps will help a lot.

Strength and Conditioning is Top Priority During the Season and Especially the Off-season.

Except the way teams are playing us is pack the paint prevent the twos and we have open 3s just no one can make them.

 

Stellar defense AND not just winning but dominating OREB. Stellar defense is more than just generating turnovers or grabbing DREB for fastbreak points but defending the 3P. Rockets used to be top 5 in this area but have dropped to #15 in last 6-7 weeks.

 

This is exactly why Rockets FO needed to acquire an elite 3P shooter at trade deadline. Just the threat of the 3 would open up paint so Rockets offense can do what they do best, score at rim or get to the line.

Ime be talking like he was that. He was a 5 ppg career scorer. I don't know why he acts like we didn't watch him or some of us did. He never takes accountability, all he mentions is toughness. That toughness didn't make him a great player or even a valuable one.

 

Interesting that you bring up a lineup change. Udoka's Celts struggled mightily early in the season that they reached Finals until he shook up starting 5 + installed his 2 big lineup of Rob Williams + Al Horford. RW3 became a rover (like Sengun now) while Horford defended paint (like Dillon now).
