If you 't think Jalen doesn't get undeserved leeway then I don't know what to say. Yes Jalen gets benched but he also gets a 37 million dollar contract and gets to play in the starting lineup for the unseeable future. His first few years he had the green card to do whatever he wanted. Yes I understand that was because of circumstance but it did happen. Jalen Green has had more undeserved hand holding than almost any other player in the NBA. If you disagree feel free to name one.
Every lotto pick on a bad team has this kind of freedom. Wemby literally put up historical usage rates last year. Jalen had 23% usage rate his rookie year, Wemby had 31% usage rate, Banchero had 27.5% usage rate .
We will see more than flashes with Reed by year 4. I'd put money on it. In fact, I'd say in a year you'll be eating those words. Nothing yet? SMH

Reed showed some PG chops yesterday but still skittish at shooting. Probably will see a reduction in minutes next game. Some promising signs though.
He looked competent at times, had a couple egregious turnovers.. that's all well and good, expected. But dang man, you got to hit some of those open 3s. He's got no chance if he's not a shooter.
He had a good game vs Brooklyn. Last 2 games he has shown his quick hands on defence with 3 blocks 4 steals
At a minimum the kid should be able to shoot, he is useless out there right now. I am sure he can and will get better but he wasn't drafted to be a project. This is very disappointing. We got lucky getting that high of a draft pick last year and he can't even contribute when we need him.
The game where he shot a 3 on transition on a 3 on 1 break? Sorry I'm not bought in he's gotta show me more. He's taking valuable minutes from holiday.
He's playing scared right now. He's too careful with the ball (except for the two turnovers last night). His shot isn't falling so he's hesitant with jumpers. He's not attacking in transition, maybe because he's just a little boy. I like what I've seen defensively.
