i dont think its cheapness... i think its megalomania.... they think theyre so brilliant, that theyve already done enough... so now they can sit on their hands and just wait for their plans to come to fruition.... imo u gotta be working to upscale your roster non-stop. There are tons of teams that had great potential - that fell apart for one reason or another (injuries, ego, attitudes, mismanagement, dumb luck)... i dont think u can ever sit idle... sure, dont shoot yourself in the foot by making a bad move.... but i doubt we have 6 or 8 future all-stars on the roster... lol
imo FO.... i think they are so pleased with their draft choices and a couple FAs that they think they're done... everybody thinks its just a matter of time and maturity until its all about collecting accolades.
we may have 2 or 3 superstars on the roster... imo its a shame to waste a season when u got 2 or 3 superstars and arent pushing for a chip. Thats where u gotta evaluate the talent... u dont know want to give up your future superstar(s), but u want to trade the guys that aint gonna be - before everyone else knows it too. lol
