Amen brother….we did absolutely freaking nothing and aren’t good enough to where we can sit back and watch others get better. This team desperately needs a closer as we can’t hold leads and our offense disappears late in games. Reality is Rockets aren’t looking for a title in the next 5 years. They’re happy being competitive and first round losers.
I'm not saying that he should've made a move or even that I want him to. I'm saying that for some reason, we always expect a big mid season trade when historically, that hasn't been something that Stone has done.
I stand corrected. But still, you don’t spend assets to outbid SA just for a rental. Winning cures all is just wishful thinking. Too much risk.
Fox doesn't fit Wemby's timeline. In 3-4 seasons he will be on outside looking in + Wemby will be in his prime. Or worse, Spurs championship window accelerates + opens next season. But Fox no longer interests me, the trade happened so on to the next opportunity.
The spurs giving a smallish can't shoot guard 30% of the cap is amazing for the rockets. That trade was an A+ for us.
