They are going after workers who aren't even in political positions. Groups are looking at the social media posts of doctors in the CDC foe example and putting lists of them to be fired or harassed. None of these clubs are exclusive. A white person can join a black club for the very reason you state, and there are cases when that happens. The idea that someone from an underserved background who overcame incredible challenges shouldn't have those challenges as a consideration (which in and of itself shows qualification) is terrible. It's basically saying you have to judge everyone on merit based on the same standard when the strengths of one group may be completely different and lost that way.
