Reed is insanely talented. Not playing him is asinine. He's going to make mistakes. Amen cost us the game vs the Nets. Who cares. We need to invest in our talents. We have two right now that have shown All Star/Superstar ability. We need to see who else has it.
I dont believe we will be 5th in the west. Once FVV and Jabari come back this team is a top 3 team in the west easily. Right now our players are a bit exhausted from the onslaught of games vs top teams.
They need to especially double down on this since they havent made a move to make them a legit contender. Ime said a few weeks ago he expected Reed to get more minutes as the season progressed. I think some may have missed that.
FG% at each distance: .............................Doncic..........Ant.............D Fox.................Knecht At Rim...................78.3.............64.9............72.0.....................83.6 3 to <10 ft.............56.0.............44.0............53.1.....................43.5 10 to <16 ft...........50.0.............34.7............49.6.....................57.7 16 ft to < 3Pt........35.5..............31.9...........40.0......................54.5 3Pt........................35.4..............42.1...........32.3......................35.8 **Better than Knechtr Kid is just a rookie that hit the rookie wall in December.........but I guess FG% doesn't matter anymore to you hypocrites. Dude just needs to shoot more. Forgive me while I leave Sheppard out of this discussion. I'm talking real players. Bonafide Shooter If you don't know you better AXE someone
But its is both because we are a bunch of idiot fans who vomit post at the slightest prod from idiot commentators who only want to drive clicks. That's what makes this site great.
If only we will give reed the same leeway Jalen Green gets. Reed could shoot 30% for 3 years before people start looking for trades.
Nice analysis, except... All those guys score more then twice as much as Dalton while setting up their teammates and being the focus of opposing defense. It's like saying Tate is on Jalen's scoring level because he has better shooting percentage in every distance except 3pt.
Ok wise guy. Championship Celtics have lost to Toronto, Chicago, Philadelphia without Embiid or George, Indiana. Second seed Grizzlies also lost to Chicago, Brooklyn (twice), 10th seed Sacramento and 11th seed warriors. What's your point? We supposed to beat every team every night? Not to mention this is a team of players who are mostly below the age of 23. 2 years ago we won 17, 20 and 22 games in 2021,2022 and 2023 seasons.
"Kid" is 47 years old and so terrible his team gave up on him in less than a year, using him as a random throwaway piece in a trade for a constantly injured 7' foot center with foot problems.....
bro Ime benches Jalen all the time. Reed is getting the leeway Jalen gets. Ime bullying reed like he bullies Jalen, lol
Here's my bi-monthly "If you use '3rd pick in the draft' as justification for any part of your argument it should automatically be invalid when discussing the 2024 draft" reminder. Excel auto replace "3rd pick" with "13th pick"
Does Tate? Not his rookie year. He was .719 / 44.7 / 8.3 / 28.6 / 30.8 Are you saying a player..... specifically a rookie can not add the ability to pass? Anthony Edwards was featured out of college as a point guard - combo while Dalton was not. I wasn't expecting the Rockets to draft Dalton to be point guard or main initiator of an offensive set. I wanted the Rockets to take Cam Whitmore to be a bad @** scorer and eventually add passing to the repertoire......same as Dalton. Ime Udoka comes from a Popovich scheme that stresses passing the ball. Pops told Danny Green he needed to hits 3's and be able to dribble drive two steps. So when players ran him off the 3-point line, they then dribble twice to attract defenders so that someone else will be left open. Hit them with the pass. Cam Whitmore will eventually pass more......Udoka will see to it. Dalton would've as well. ...............Ant (rookie)......... Dalton (rookie) PER........13.9........................12.5 TS%........52.3........................59.8 (LaMelo's job to draw defenders, Dalton to make shots) TRB%.......7.9...........................8.4 Ast%.......14.6..........................6.1 3P%........32.9..........................35.8 FT%........77.6..........................82.5 TOV%.....10.7..........................6.0 So just like Ant-Man......his game has improved, so will Dalton. Or are you saying Dalton Knecht will never improve his game? Few rookies are perfect.
Ironic that you should mention this, but I was listening to SiriusXM and, I think it was the mid-day show with Rob Perez/@WorldWideWob and Antonio Daniels (best show on that station now that they got rid of Rick Kamla, but I digress), where they were laughing saying something like anytime you see a player whose minutes go up inexplicably when they hardly got any minutes before, you know they're showcasing him. lol.
