I think the tickets will Focus more on the buyout market than the trade market. It’s the correct decision
If we don't trade for a star, we aren't winning this year regardless. With that, why take valuable playing time from our young guys and give it to a backup?
It's not a "win a ring or everything is pointless" situation. Going deeper into the playoffs will give our key players more playoff experience, which will accelerate the timeline moving forward. I don't want to get bounced in the first round because we were afraid to trade away a few second round picks.
With Jabari coming back soon, the Rockets already have their reinforcements in place. Nobody expected them to be a top 3 team in the West. They are doing just fine into becoming a model franchise.
I’d be shocked if half the GMs even know who he is tbh. Seems like the type of dude who can only excel in free agency and that’s because he can just overpay B level players like FVV and Brooks who had limited choices to begin with.
