I concur….think Springer takes us from 45 wins to 55 wins and a showdown with OKC (who is making a last ditch effort to reunite with Durant). Shae scored 50 last night but won’t get 10 against our new weapon. Just hope Jaden passes the team physical as this all feels too good to be true!
Hilarious how much the media hates the Rockets. All I heard about last week was “the Doncic trade” over and over again. Rockets make this big splash and I hardly hear a peep from that exact same media???
I actually don't mind making this a developmental year. We can see how far this team can go and then make the necessary trades in the offseason. We should atleast see how far we can get before we trade away any valuable resources. Also Reed genuinely shows flashes of talent and I bet if we give him one offseason to develop he could be significantly better like Amen is this season. Also we can trade Green in the offseason but we can't trade him now. No point in keeping Green if we get Booker or ANT.
https://clutchpoints.com/kevin-durant-jimmy-butler-nba-trade-deadline-intel-siegel-scoop Houston Rockets: Amid talks that they could look to get involved in conversations for Durant, the Houston Rockets are said to be laying low after bringing in Jaden Springer from the Boston Celtics. Springer could possibly be flipped, as could center Jock Landale. However, Houston's main goal is to push forward with its young core, which has another emerging star in Amen Thompson. Veteran center Steven Adams received some interest from the Lakers before their addition of Williams, according to Sam Amick of The Athletic.
"We're ahead of schedule - so we dont have to put in any other effort to try to improve... the potential of our existing core is surely enough to result in numerous championships in the future! Potential always comes to fruition!" - that seems to be the mindset... smh
I would prefer him to Booker honestly and as a team would do everything in my power to get him. Would he be willing to bail on Minnesota already though?
They aren't cheap. They are saving their assets until somebody worth it is available. They definitely want Booker and would want Ant if he becomes available. The only trade I've seen that I would personally take was for Doncic and no way Dallas was going to trade him to us. All this being pissed off at Stone and Tillman is ridiculous. One problem we do have is that the 25 Phoenix pick loses value if the Suns won't play this year. My guess is that before the lottery they try and trade it even if for just future draft considerations.
