No to an Adam's trade. But what about Bronny for Reed Sheppard straight up? Just just kidding Reedlings. It's a joke. No way LA does that.
Knecht plays even less defense than Reed - I have a hard time seeing Ime giving him ANY minutes without some improvements. The Lakers played him because they literally had to for large stretches so far this year and the only reason Knecht wasn't exposed more is because they had an all Defense guy behind him at the rim. In general people greatly overrate Knecht as an older rookie who comes in with a more polished skill set but a much more limited ceiling. Personally I don't think he is worth sacrificing playing time for any of our players who all have far higher ceilings.
I think we posted at the same time but same idea - people don't seem to understand how bad Knecht is as a defender.
What is Stevo's connection to Lakers? Rockets working to extend Fred + not Adams could confirm your thinking that he's not re-signing with Rockets. Unfortunate if true.
I don't think Adams has a connection to LA - they just need a real center now that they traded AD and they are running out of assets left to do that so they are trying to get guys who can be had for relatively cheap....I would find it hard to believe Houston would make it easier for LA though given LA might be our competition in a few months in the playoffs.
And if he absolutely must be traded, Stevo should not be traded to any team in West that is in playoff contention, especially the Lakers.
I love his rebounding but he doesn’t block many shots and his offense is worse than I remember. He sets great screens and rebounds. Is that enough?
Not a huge Lakers guy, but I seem to remmeber the Lakers running Knecht off a ton of screens on plays drawn up specifically to get him open looks. He wouldn't get that here, and wouldn't be as productive as in LA. Watching Adams this year, he gets beat laterally when he has to step away from the basket. Every game I've seen I think I've either seen someone go around him, or I've seen him not able to move quick enough to pick up rotations. I genuinely like the guy, but he isn't without flaws.
If we aren’t extending Steveo we need to trade him by tomorrow and recoup a few 2nd round picks. Honestly, if all Stone does is get assets for our expirings, that’s a solid trade deadline for the Rockets given where the team is this season.
