Not really. There's a reason why fox never achieved anything with the kings. Sengun is better than sabonis but I think the end result of the pairing will pretty much b similar to how kings playoff results turn out

I just don't understand folks slobbering over kd when we should have just went for harden instead of overpayin for fvv. Playmaking is one of our biggest weakness right now.

 

FVV is on an unguaranteed contract starting next year Harden wanted the max. Clippers just got dominated by the Lakers without Luka.

 

This team's shooting and shot-making from the role players around Amen/Sengun/Green is an F. Contender or no contender or title or no title, either that's ok or it's not. Hint: it's not ok for any non-tanking team.

I find it to be an unacceptable situation for a team brimming with athletes who have shown they can get to the rim more often with just average rather than horrible spacing.

Doesn't cost more than a late FRP or second rounders. We are where we were supposed to be on the eve of the playoffs. There's nothing wrong with thinking about moves that you weren't thinking about till the summer. That's natural non-linear development and you have to be dynamic in sticking to the plan.

 

Agreed. But in addition to eating up Landry's profits he'd also dominate in Udoka system + culture. Even without Udoka, Zion has led Pels to playoffs + achieved 2 All Star selections with career 62 TS%.

I can’t even say we’re getting worse but Fred is def the engine and our most impactful which doesn’t bode well for the “Core 7” let the young guys gain experience group.

Kings didn’t give up on Fox, he wouldn’t sign an extension so they had to do something. His time there just ran its course. That has happened plenty of times with other players and it wasn’t like he didn’t play well during his time there. You acting like we would have had to give up Amen, Sengun, and all our picks for him or something. There was a couple different combinations we could have packaged that would have been worth putting on the table.

Plus this is the Kings we are talking about here.

 

Stone has always been weirdly against getting actual, legitimate, good at running an offense type of PGs. He tried the KPJ at point experiment for years. Tried to make Jalen a PG too. Ime forced his hand on the FVV signing, but then he signed Holiday who isn't a natural PG to be the backup. He tried to make Reed a PG immediately despite him being more off-guard at lower levels. People tend to correlate the Rockets being legit because of Ime. I agree with that on defense. But on offense, the Rockets only became legit because of FVV. It's still Silas-level offense when he's not playing.
