If there was someone worth going after, i would be all for it. Currently, there isn't. Yes, we can do something idiotic like durant which would crush us long term, but i'm against that.

Was Fox not worth going after, especially considering the price?

Absolutely not. Giving a guy on his level a 30% max would have been catastrophic. History doesn’t lie.

I was scared of only OKC but I wouldn't wanna see these Warriors in a 7 game series.... They win the close games with the whistles big time

as opposed to what? I hope people understand that Fred is getting his team option picked up or re-signed to a 2-3 year 60-90M deal at this rate. There are no PG on the market and Reed is about 3 years away and Amen isn't a PG. Instead of securing our PG of the future, we're stuck with Fred(who I actually like) while hoping Reed pans out. Whatever late lotto pick we get from PHX and BK will never come close to what Fox is.

He couldn't make it work with sabonis, I doubt he moves the needle for us to b serious contenders pairing him with sengun.

They’ll be washed completely in the near future. This season I don’t have expectations of a championship.

It would be nice if we made some noise during the playoffs, which I think we will. The competition for future seasons really isn’t anything too crazy when we have age on our side.

It's not about being contenders. It's about moving the needle. You want to entice future free agents and buyout guys and you do it by taking steps to get there. Fox would have solved every halfcourt issue we have. 90% of our problems are in the halfcourt.

Idk as opposed to what. What can i say for sure is fox would have been catastrophic, paying the 30th best player or whatever he is a 30% contract would be crippling and a complete non starter to me. We’re not a contender this season, let the kids play, play some playoff games, and see. Maybe ant is available in a year or 2, maybe jokic gets tired of playing for a trash organization, maybe shai wants out, who knows. I would take a 20% chance for something great over a 100% chance for garbage like fox.

Why the fk would we blow up our core and draft picks to barely move the needle.
Fox ain't it especially if he couldn't make it work with sabonis. We blow our load just to grab him and we get the same results as the kings in playoffs.

We are ahead of schedule in the rebuilding era and folks worrying about moving a needle

Spurs blew up their core by trading... Tre Jones and Sidy Cissoko and mediocre picks. You guys are more in love with the prospect of picks than actual players. There is almost a 0% chance those BK picks turn out to be something considering they're in the mix to go big game hunting this offseason and next.

Fox only wanted SA. Not sure why you think getting a player who will be a FA in 2 yrs and doesnt want to be here is a good idea.

Kings didn’t get better. Can’t imagine the addition of Lavine and subtraction of Fox makes them any better. Same with Warriors. Spurs did get better. We will see what that tandem does.

Now I know u are speaking nonsense if u thought tre Jones and sidy cissoko are the spurs core. They didn't give up castle or vassel or actual 1st round picks that matter (hawks).

U think the kings want let me check: Tate, lockdale, reed and holiday and a couple of first round picks?

It doesn't even help that Fox wanted the spurs

Not true at all. It was reported early on that Fox had interest in a few teams and Houston was one of them. It’s a big reason why the Rockets were always attached and had to shut down rumors of their interest.

Zion could help with halfcourt offensive issues too. But so could Cam Johnson to lesser extent.

Its not disrespectful, i just think if a playoff team gives up on fox and our team has a big man similar to sacramento. I just think the results arent gonna b glamorous as folks imagine especially for what we have to potentially give up.
