Zion has missed literally 60 percent of his team's games over the course of his career. The best ability is availability, and he doesn't have it. The injuries also appear to already be sapping his production when he is on the court. Furthermore, he doesn't fit alongside Amen or Alpi at all, he is only a threat in the painted area. You can't run three guys like that out there in today's league, you can barely even do two. Anyway, hard for me to believe that a fan base which suffered through the Yao / T-Mac era would ever want this guy. If he's even available it's because New Orleans knows he will never stay healthy. Just give it up, it's a dumb idea and I'm confident this front office thinks so too.
Zion has averaged 5 AST last 2 seasons. He is elite OREB which is the fuel that Udoka's system relies on to generate 2nd chance points. Like Amen, Zion's 2nd jump is ridiculous. He is also averaging more PPG on fewer minutes than Rockets leading scorer (28 vs 33) + averages almost 25 PPG for his career. Again, only 24 so just year or so older than both Jalen + Alp. Zion also averages more stocks (1.1 STL + 1.2 BLK) + REB than either Brooks or Bari.
Love it. PHX - I like apples! Riley - I like tomatoes. PHX - I’ll give you KD for a bag of chips and a tomato. Riley - Nice, I’ll give you Buckets for a bag of chips and an apple. DEAL DONE!
Durant best option is Houston (so close to a championship) Suns best move is Houston (get your picks) Houston (VanVleet contract $40+M plus a few throw in fillers like Tate/Jabari/ Jock Landale (has time expired on his return?) _____________ Steven Adams, Holiday, Jeff Green and Dillon gives Durant players near his age. You have my approval.
Schroder and Kyle Anderson are irrelevant, so it was basically Wiggins and a protected 1st for Butler KD shouldn’t be costing much more than that get it done Stone
Zion to Rockets is very unlikely to happen because of FO tunnel vision for Booker and/or inability to see potential fit due to traditional team configurations. Many could not fathom playing 2 PG in Harden + CP3 either. Or smallball with Westbrook playing 5 spot flanked by smallish forwards in Tucker + Covington. Or even Udoka's iteration that has found success despite poor 3P% + 2P% efficiency but generates points via emphasis on OREB, fastbreak, defense to offense, transition defense + FTA.
I actually really like this trade for the Heat. Wiggins is a great Butler replacement, along with being younger and cheaper. A protected first as well? Definitely solid value for a disgruntled Butler. More than I would have given up, frankly.
Or not. I have to go to a trade machine. I'd rather give them Reed Sheppard but Durant, Sengun, Jalen Green, Cam Whitmore, Tari Eason, Jaden Springer, Dillon would give Sheppard some open looks. Sheppard can make open 3's. I want both Durant and Tyus Jones but the Suns can't trade two guys in the same trade. Durant would take Jabari's spot with Tari/Dillon/Amen backing up Durant. Durant played some Center in the playoffs while with GS Warriors. We could do the same in the playoffs.
The warriors just pushed all their chips in to try to milk these next couple years of Curry and Jimmy- especially forking over 60.5 million to Jimmy for the next 2 years. I hope it fails. Miserably.
