I have had very little exposure to Chappell Roan and Sabrina Carpenter.

Rather than hoping that they will away, you will need to adjust something in how and/or where you get Music so that your potential exposure to their Music is limited.

 

She's Dave Chappell's daughter 'Roan' is a stage name.

 

As the father of a 13 year old daughter, her stuff is on the “I don’t mind it” side of the morning playlists. Same for Olivia Rodrigo. Wouldn’t listen to them alone but they don’t melt my ears.

Sabrina Carpenter looks like a little girl who growed up too fast, I reckon.

 

LOL, I could have told you that watching the Grammies were a waste of time:

 

Same. I’d take listening to her on the way to school over Taylor Swift any day of the week even though she only has the one album. It’s not bad pop music with even a bit of an indie vibe too it.

Of all my daughters music though that I like the most though id say is Billie Eilish easily. The new album is actually really good and gives me the vibes of what I used to listen a lot to in college such as Portishead, Massive Attack, etc.

Chappell Roan though… boy does she have a lot riding on her follow up album to her debut. I’m not comparing her to Nirvana but in terms for out of nowhere blow up, it does remind me of when Nevermind came out and blew up out of nowhere. Not that she’ll be musically as relevant at all in the long run but I do think her debut album is that level of popular and she does have similar pressure with her follow up for sure. I hope she can handle it and doesn’t implode like so many others have.

 

I had no clue who either of these singers were, so I had to use the way back machine to see..............she looks like a "Disney" project right before she goes full blown Brittant Spears. What do I know, I listen to sports talk and not into new music so much
