The deal that the Rockets want to make with the Lakers is Landale for a backup 3-and-D PG (who can play 10-15 minute per game) which mean a third team would need to be involved.
For now some of Jabari's and some of Dillon's and maybe some of Jalen's or Cam's. We are just trading one bench guy that can't shoot or play defense worth a crap, but is a good offensive rebounder for one that can shoot when the other guys are cold and is a decent rebounder. Adams won't be here next year and Knetch can be traded as part of a package or for 2nd round picks in the off-season if we need to.
Yes and there's a slight possibility that Adams could have a setback. It would suck if he has to be out of the lineup for a long period during the second half of the season. I'm curious to know what the Lakers will do with Austin Reaves and Dalton Knecht now that Luka's there. I can see the Rockets trading Tate (contract year) and Landale too before the deadline. Maybe even Holiday (contract year) to make room for Reed. If the Lakers want Adams that bad the Rockets should try to get Austin Reaves out of the deal. The Blazers would have to be interested of course, but I'd even offer Jalen Green if it meant getting Reaves to Houston. Their salaries match since Jalen's new contract hasn't kicked in yet. Adams and Jalen (and/or Landale/Tate/Holiday to the Lakers or Blazers, etc) for Robert Williams, Austin Reaves (and another shooter?) seems like a great deal. Adams gets to chase a championship, Jalen goes home to Cali (or to Blazers) and the Rockets get their rim protector and shooters to surround Sengun, Amen, etc. Or don't trade Jalen yet and go after Knecht.
I doubt they trade Reeves for Adams. Plus Adams is a bad defender not sure why they dont trade for Capela themselves.
Reeves would be ideal for the Rockets, but Lakers aren't biting on that. It will take a FRP for Reeves.
You guys are wild. Austin Reeves? Lol. He's a great role player. No way in hell you are getting him for Steven.
Yeah I mean they want a defensive center Capela makes more sense plus he is basically s PnR guy fits with Luka and Lebron.
He has the right attitude too He won't sulk and he won't demand the ball hell he will barely talk Rocket River
I thought about this one. NOT because I want to trade away Cam Whitmore, but he's obviously not our head coach's favorite child. And when the middle child isn't feeling the love, it leads to conflict. Plus Whitmore doesn't pass. Like, ever. Catch ball, shoot ball. That'd fit with LeBron and Luka.
