This is from @NIKEstrad in a different thread. The 1st round swaps would be marginal, don’t want 2025 2nd rounders, and they aren’t giving up that 2031 1st rounder. Not seeing a pathway to a trade. Lakers tradeable draft assets are: 2025 2nd round pick (LAL) 2025 2nd round pick (LAC) 2026 1st round pick – Pick Swaps Only 2028 1st round pick – Pick Swaps Only 2031 1st round pick
Screw you Lakers. Reaves for Landale. Unlike the Mavs, other teams aren't here just for your gratification.
Three team trade with the Blazers then. Steven Adams to Lakers. Robert Williams to Houston. Jarred Vanderbilt (or a different player) to the Blazers. All three are coming off of injuries. Get it done cause Adams reaction time is still a step slower than his usual self and he'd probably sign with the Lakers next season anyway.
converting a half season of Steveo into a season and a half of Time Lord is a win if he stays healthy. Nice to preserve that salary slot too.
silver need to have a vision of the future. adams already in his 30's. need a big who can grow with the team and make headlines into the next decade too. go for wemby, and don't wait till tomorrow's deadline, do it today. make it happen adam, just do it
The NBA will make it happen! Two #2s. If they can hand Wemby to SA and stop Gasol to Houston, surely they can hand Adams to LA.
Kind of a weird thought, but…would you give up Adams and draft capital for Knecht? Like, Adams and several second round picks? I doubt it gets it done, but Knecht is an intriguing prospect who has traits we need.
The Lakers can then easily beat in the playoffs. The Lakers with Adams will be better now and in the next few years. This i a lose-lose proposition for the Rockets. Whatever deal gets structure must also include the Astros losing two first round draft picks.
Adams is being overrated. He might help the Lakers a bit, because they have no center right now, but he provides very little defense for us. He is just way too slow footed. If they offered Knetch straight up for Adams both teams would be helped in areas they need help. Lakers can find a better option and wouldn't pay that price for Adams.
Yes, even though I love what Adams brings to the team. We'd need to find a backup for Sengun though and we'd be out of "incentives" to trade for a backup by giving up most of our 2nd's
