Hell yeah Reed. IME's letting you put your stamp on all of Holiday's minutes right freaking now. Staring the 2nd half is a statement from IME enabling you to make your own. Seal the deal son.
I don't think a single one would trade straight up for him. and Wiz would prefer Dalton, Edey, Kel'el, or Carter over Sarr or and Hawks would prefer Dalton, Edey, Kel'el, or Carter over Risacher P.S. Jared McCain paints his nails......so many in Clutch fans wouldn't want him.
Dalton has played well. Much better than Sarr/Sheppard......sir. JJ Redick who was a good shooter said Dalton was in the 1% of elite shooters https://www.on3.com/teams/tennessee...of-shooters-lakers-tennessee-vols-basketball/ I agree, if you look at the highlights Dalton shoots with a player in his face, quick release, good lift/release point, fearless. Reed, shy little lamb, needs wide open space, not much lift/release point, scared.
How did he look overall? I missed the game and only watched the disaster at the end. I don't feel like going back and watching it all.
He played with confidence the whole game. Made a few rookie mistakes, but if he can continue to play like he did tonight he will take all of holidays and some of FVV’s minutes. Amen was looking for him all night.
on the offensive end, whatever. he was really good on the defensive end. quick hands and cause ruckus against opponents. of course he still get abused on switches but it is what it is.
You’re comparing a 23 year old that has played 2 years of JUCO ball in addition to 3 years of D1 ball to a 20 year old that has 1 year of college experience. Thats a significant gap in age and experience. Reed’s time will come. We can afford to be patient.
I genuinely don’t know what Ime is doing with Reed lately. Dominated G-League -> Garbage minutes -> Benched after a couple of bad mistakes in 6 minutes -> 28 minutes. Anyways. Showed something tonight, maybe if we developed him better we’d have won. Holiday shot well last game but I still never want to see him again. For a veteran he sure is inconsistent (and not just shooting).
Again the narrative has changed from when we drafted him. We were told he was a game changer mover of mountains day one. Go back and look at the pre draft thread. Now, it's, we can have patience. It can't be both !! I named players that can play year one (if not hurt like Carter) and fit our age timeline from the get go. Those so-called experts were saying rookie of the year, knowing that those age 23 which came out too had more years and more experience than those at age 19 or 20.......that didn't stop them from predicting Reed would be ROTY. You are masking ones disappointment by changing the narrative. It's denial. If you knew what you know now.....you would have made the assessment I made then. But you didn't, thus you failed. Now it's. "Let's have patience."
We’re 3rd in the West and have the 6th best record in the league even after 2 closed losses in a row. We have a deep roster full of young and talented guys who took major leaps in the last couple years. We’re ahead of schedule overall so yes being patient with Reed is fine. Reed has barely even had an opportunity. Not everyone predicted he’d be ROTY and expected big things from him right away. I certainly did not and do not.
