you know what's crazy: this is still the same team we were hoping to just make the playin tournament. I have to keep reminding myself, even when they are playing like complete assholes, they are still playing above their projections. i dont expect anyone to take solace in that, im just saying.
The player most to be blamed is Holiday. Dude is the point guard but left his man DLO and sprinted to the other side of the court during the inbound for no reason. Yeah Amen made a bad pass but it was a 4v5, if Holiday was there he would have gotten the loose ball instead of DLo or at least DLo wouldnt be wide open. But really Ime deserves the most blame benching Sengun and Sheppard after their impressive performance. Why bench guys who are hot and got the lead for 2 players who have been trash all game? Like Holiday has played bad all game you really had him closing out the last minute? And why didnt Ime even call a time out to bring the ball closer?
This team fumbled big time down the stretch. Too many fame seekers in the end. Reed Sheppard quick shot with seconds left in the game. Offensive rebound, quick 3 by Jalen Green. Shot clock had reset, wtf. Then what the hell is Tate doing in at the end of the game? He gave up the wide open 1st 3. No defense at all. In that situation you guard the 3 point line and let him drive by you. All 3s should be contested. Tate should never see a court ever again. I also think I'm done with Jalen Green. This guy is soft as toilet paper. Go get KD or Jimmy Butler and let's move on from Jalen Green.

I agree. He didn't make any turnovers, was hustling for rebounds, and got in a couple steals and a couple blocks. That's more than some of the other non rookies did.
Amen Thompson can't dribble. Costly Turnover today's Game Jalen Green is NOT Trusted by Ime Udoka at all in Last Second Creating a Play. Alperen Sengun Free Throw Shooting in 4th is a huge Problem. Costly Free Throw Dillon Brooks gets called for Fouls on Shots. Fouling a 3 Point shooter or JJJ Free Throws in the Post. Ime Udoka not fouling with a 3 point lead in the last seconds, Substituting Defense and Offense over and over is ridiculous.
Hey people, step back from the ledge. Rough loss, but young players make mistakes. We are a team of young players. I know some of you think we should be contenders this year, but it’s just too soon. We are making progress, but we have a ways to go yet. We will get there, but it will take patience while this team grows up. We have a ton of young talent on this team, but tonight we really missed not having our floor general. Fred is needed in the half court offense. He may not be an elite PG, but he knows how to run an offense, and you can see the difference he makes.
