Ime Udoka cost the game. Not trusting Alperen Sengun on his Free Throw and substituting Steven Adams on the Free Throw line. Sengun made the Free Throw Nets quickly threw the ball in Fast break 2 point dunk. Ime Udoka not fouling with a 3 point lead and get the ball back and burn the clock and get fouled. Ime Udoka completely Out coached by Jordi Fernandez.
Amen gets a pass from you? Amen costed a TURNOVER. He is 21. Are you deranged? Blaming Jalen Green only is shortsighted and stupid. He is 22.
We should look to trade for Lonzo because we can't rely on Amen/Reed to be a primary ball handler. I'm pretty sure we can get Lonzo for 1 or 2 2nd round pick(s)
Honestly everyone is to be blamed. Sengun because he is wildly inefficient again as he is this entire season. Jalen because he is wildy inefficient and took a dumb ass 3 point shot attempt. Reed because he is inefficient and took a dumbass pull up instead of burning clock. Amen because of his costly turnovers
This will be a key stretch for Amen. His confidence has to be at an all time low. He’ll either embrace his mistakes and use them as fuel or he’ll get skiddish and disappear
No he made some.... he missed another big one late.... 6 missed FTs is inexcusable PERIOD. That's a nightmare come playoff time
Let’s look at the schedule for the next couple of games and be realistic: 2-6 @ Minnesota 2-8 @Dallas 2-9 vs Toronto 2-12 vs Phoenix 2-13 vs Golden State Then the all-star break so let’s talk about these next 5 games: Minnesota - on the road but we get some rest, maybe Fred will be back - T-Wolves are a Jekyll Hyde bunch and they have already beaten us once this year but I like our chances to win Dallas - also on the road but not a back to back and who knows if AD will be playing or will be Street Clothes Davis. Whether he plays or not, this is another game in which I like our chances to win Toronto - it is a back to back game but it is at home and at night and surely we can beat one of the worst teams at home (but I also thought that about the Nets) Phoenix - it’s a home game and we have some rest in between - you never know what you are going to get when you play Phoenix - on paper, they should be better than they are but they have all kinds of issues Golden State - we finally ended our long losing streak against them and they have been scuffling of late but still a dangerous opponent for us. I can see us winning all of these games and it would go a long way of restoring confidence in our Rockets - they go on a 5 game winning streak before the all-star break and it will solidify their spot as one of the 4 best teams in the west. However, with injuries, bad coaching, and snakebit luck, we could lose 3 or maybe even 4 of these games. I guess we will soon find out what our guys are really made of.
Not so much indifferent, but I may take Thurs off or well even the next week off after this BS. We can't keep players on the court. We can't move the ball. We can't shoot. We can't defend in the 4th. We can't call timeouts. We can't protect two possession leads with <10secs left. We can't hit FTs. We beat the best teams and lose to the worst teams. I'm just starting to think it's worth a break and not investing in for the moment. I hope they can win some of these next few games, but I may just need some more basketball-less evenings to regain my sanity after these last 4 games.
Ime Udoka = Panic last second substitutions. Defense, Offense, Defense, Offense. Just stop. Jordi Fernandez = Calm, Cool, Collected. D'Angelo Russell fully rested checks back in Great Game Winner.
We’re not that close to a championship to justify giving away any young players or assets for a 36 year old hired gun. If we were one piece away sure, but this team is not there yet. Let the youth learn and grow and develop naturally.
We don't need either to be the primary ball handler this year. I think Reed can be that guy down the road. Give him time.
