Amen is not ready to be a PG, the team has looked terrible without Fred these last few games. Amen already has 6 turnovers this game through 3 quarters. Amen will get there, but trading Fred mid season without getting another PG would be a mistake.
Hes not. Fred has played in bad losses this year. And in the last Brooklyn game he played until halftime and the Rockets looked just as bad while he was in there. The Rockets were outscored in that half 53 to 38 with Fred playing a ton of minutes. The issue is that the Rockets are a terrible shooting team that relies on scrappiness. That only takes you so far. At some point you need guys that consistently put the ball in the basket at.
We have such immature fans. Last game Amen dominated at the point and then Ime turned it over to Jalen to sh*t away the game. The game before FVV got hurt he threw up 2 logo shots playing hero ball and everybody was calling for his head. The game he got hurt, he was playing horribly, but we lose 4 games in a row, two that Sengun didn’t play in and suddenly FVV is the greatest pg of all time. 3 of the 4 games we were winning and Ime made boneheaded rotations and blames the players. We definitely could have used FVV’s ball handling down the stretch this game, but we might not have even had the lead, because Sheppard wouldn’t have played a minute. Who knows what version of FVV, we would have gotten. This team is exhausted, can’t shoot and does not have a closer. We also have a terrible offensive coach. Amen turned the ball over 7 times. He had a bad game. Don’t forget how many he has won for us. Amen has way less bad games than Ime has. Ime is a great defensive coach and motivator, his rotations have sucked all year. If we just run this same team back next year, we will not be contenders. Stone needs to stop pushing the decisions down the road, get some shooters and get Ime an offensive guru.
Lmao, ScoopB is still out here? haven’t seen that dude since the Melo trade saga Where’s Potato Head?
Strawman Logic Fallcy He's not the greatest PG ever. No one reasonable is saying that. The Rockets are 5-9 in the last 2 seasons without FVV. Even though he's no longer the best Rocket this season, he probably slides in right after Amen and Sengun. Any of those three being out hurts a lot.
Rockets have looked exactly the same WITH Fred. Rockets have severe half court offense issues. Fred went down in the middle of this losing streak + it was only a matter of time this was going to happen anyway because HOU struggles to score at end of tight games even with double digit leads. Fred has been a major part of this problem.
