    I don't get it. This was a very real and probable outcome, so I am fine with that, and fine with "doing him a solid and not having him locked in for pennies for 2 more years" but we basically just knew we were gonna have a 16mil cap hit for nothing this year? what a waste.

    I wish it was more like Madden. If you trade for a player, there is no cap penalty if they're cut.

    I actually thought it was like this until about two years ago :rolleyes: that's what made me want to learn the NFL cap.
