Looks like we’re willing to move Steveo https://hoopshype.com/rumor/lakers-...-with-rockets-both-sides-significantly-apart/
Only makes sense if we have another trade in the pipe (Robert Williams?). Even then, I feel like we should be adding to our center depth, not taking away. Still, if you can pry a FRP from them, I guess you have to think about it. Don't really feel like anybody should be helping the Lakers regardless.
No way we get a 1st rounder from the Lakers. Their 1st rounders have the same value as another teams 3 1 rounders.
He cost us 3 2nd round picks and we let him sit out the half season while we waited for him to get healthy.... the cost should be at least that if the Lakers want him. This is the entirety of the Lakers draft assets remaining. The pick swaps would be mildly interesting, but given they have other needs, I don't they're willing to part with them. 2025 2nd round pick (LAL) 2025 2nd round pick (LAC) 2026 1st round pick – Pick Swaps Only 2028 1st round pick – Pick Swaps Only 2031 1st round pick

With respect, don't call others crazy and then put Brooks into a Durant trade. The idea behind getting Durant would be to contend immediately. Brooks fits that timeline and brings that toughness and 3nD aggravating edge that fits so well next to Durant. He is part of the rotation if making a Durant move.
Yes - but the problem is that they can also offer those assets for other available Cs. Lob Williams is just what they need (next to Doncic), and if I was the Lakers I'd offer for him before Adams.
Have to make the salaries match somehow. I don't think you can send out FVV either if you're going for a win-now play, and of the two, I think his production is less replaceable by in-house options. Maybe if you got Tyus Jones from Phoenix? Is that even allowable with them being in the second apron? I think you can technically match the salaries by sending out basically all of our expiring bench veterans plus like Reed Sheppard or something, but that leaves no depth whatsoever on a team trying to contend.
That's a really impressive trade proposition. I think that might satisfy all 4 teams. It seems like Phoenix may be making out too well but they're giving up the best asset in the trade so maybe it's fair. Anyway, nicely done. I'd accept this deal if I were Rafael Stone.
Are we able to trade the 2025 pick now? I don't think we are without an additional first coming our way, right? At least until draft day
Yes. Tyus Jones is the answer to a trade with PHX. They can aggregate minimum salary guys. So they can send him with KD.
Yep, he's a very good shooter But what he isn't is the dynamic force that was attacking the rim - that made him a superstar. You guys want to spend $51m+ on a glorified shooter. If they do and Durant is so awesome - along with Booker who many here also want, why are they struggling to stay ~.500? He's lost so much mobility that he hasn't played a single minute at his natural 3 spot with 26% of his minutes coming at .... Center and the rest at the 4. I'm not giving up a ton of assets for that guy.
