After the Rams lost to the Eagles, Kupp said he would be returning to the NFL next season, somewhere. My interpretation was he knows it won't be the Rams.

I think this is a good hire. He was my top choice. McVey coaching tree is the best right now. I always prefer a younger coach to a retread.

As to the selection, I kind of "smell" another "buddy" deal. The first one didn't work out. I would have preferred an experienced and successful OC. But, this guy may have been the pick of the litter. A change needed to be made. It was, we will see how it works out. Hopefully this guy is quick on his feet and can adjust on the fly. (need any more platitudes?)

I was hoping he bundled the Rams offense with the John Carroll alumni offense he learned early on with the Pats.
    Bunnndle is life.

Because If we just copy The Rams, It's going to be more of the same. Rams run more condensed formations than what Slowik attempted this season.
Has to put his own spin on things.

No, Gronk had already won two Super Bowls and earned multiple All-Pro and Pro Bowl honors before Caley arrived in New England. Hunter Henry developed with the Chargers and only played one season under Caley. Higbee had just one full season with Caley and was primarily used as a blocker. Jonnu Smith was successful in Tennessee before joining New England and working with Caley. Claims like this concern me because they feel more like fluff than substance.

It's an okay hire. Better than the last one for sure.
