How did they win last year without him? It's Jabari who they miss more. The defense has slipped, not the offense
The team is 2nd seed with a myriad of injuries, the team has never been healthy except the first month. Even JG the goat for this game is clearly banged up and limping and shouldnt have played.
Rockers are gassed. Injuries, barely any home games, barely any days off, and playing b2b's. Looking at the schedule, this could get worse before it gets better.
Say what? How were they winning without Jabari before Sengun went out? They won last year without Alpi because Jalen was on a stretch playing like a top 5-10 player in the league. If he can do that again they’ll win more games without Sengun.
Amen based off the hype will get a max deal. IMO, I just see him as a better Aaron Gordon. Stone will have a job todo with extending these players with their value.
The loss to the Nets the other day, makes this loss worse. If they beat the Nets and other teams they should be winning against. It makes these losses against the best teams easier to swallow. I wish this team would get up more for teams they should beat and not just the best teams in the league.
He is a key part of our defense, as much as posters like you don't want to acknowledge it He's not an elite defensive center, but he's pretty good these days, and he's the best switchable center we have.
not worried to much. The team is missing 3/5 of the starters. A healthy rockets teams win these last 3 or at least 2/3
For once we agree. It just happens that Jalen hasn’t been playing well lately. If he was the early January version, we’d have easily won those games.
I was so excited about this team last week. Now they can't keep bodies on the floor or do anything right for more than 5min.
Injuries are kicking our ass, including the little ones our guys are playing through. The one thing that I’m always impressed about with Jalen is that he’s always available, despite being totally banged up (though I’m sure some would say that they wish he wasn’t so available lol). Having a player that the defense has to respect on the floor DOES make a difference, even when he’s playing badly.
The problem is that Jalen can't control when he has these bipolar stretches. One week he looks like a top ten player, the next week he looks like me at the local 24 hour. Players who are inconsistent in multiple long stretches are not built to be superstar talent. Green has had these waxes and wanes for the past 4 years and it hasn't improved. We badly need Sengun/Jabari back to generate more open looks because Jalen at the point has been a complete disaster. Ime would rather play Amen at the point guard and it showed during the game. So Green literally does nothing for us if he can't score.
No because we literally played 9 teams out right tanking and resting all their real NBA players and our fans were too dumb to see it. Look at the rosters Portland Utah and Washington was fielding versus us. That was 6 of those wins...
It's AMAZING This is what KILLS me! You would think the older fans should know basketball, instead they are just THROWING things out there to see if people "LIKE" it. THIS SAME TEAM WON 11 STRAIGHT GA.ES W/O SENGUN LAST YR. ON THE ROAD AND AT HOME. How is it all of a sudden they can't win just w/o Sengun. Don't forget our best I terror defender, Jabari Smith, is out too. Anything a team has its starting center and PF out, it's going to effect the roster.... QUIT IT!
Im with you Peter. I have seen enough the past 4 years. Enough of this up and down bullshit then half this forum rushes to defend him for his bad play. Dude has been in the league for 4 years, he isn't a rookie or sophomore.
JG had 6 TO for the game not in the second half - 1 was the charge on Brunson 2 of them were fouls that didn’t get called … for him to play PG the majority of the game and only managed 3 true TOs isn’t bad He drove to basket 7/10x and only got 2 FTs not counting the and1 they waived off I swear refs are hazing him cause no way Austin Reeves has a better whistle
