It wasn't wire to wire.... but my god it feels like we led 95% of the game and hell we entered the 4th up 11 and lost by being outscored by 17. Good lord crap like this is the worst. I love JG when he's on, but it sure feels like pretty much the Knicks best runs were when he was on the floor tonight. His 5-6 3rd qtr TOs and then their run during his time in the 4th really hurt. I just don't understand how we can play such tough D all game long and then keep blowing sht in the 4th. Granted, refs were giving us little room during that time but geez. No lead is ever safe with us, ever. We might as well fight back all game because then at least it wouldn't be as disappointing as constantly losing leads and blowing games.
He hit a middy too, and moved the ball around when he needed to. He had one turnover in the 4th, one foul, and two made buckets. I’m not trying to defend his play, he was bad. But you’ve got to be fair too.
Its a simple solution. Package Green + Reed + picks and get a superstart like Booker or KD or whoever has a proven track record in these moments. Hell we could give the Heat Cam and picks for Jimmy Butler to start at the 2 guard and this team instantly becomes a contender. Our only problem right now is that Jalen Green does nothing for us in the fourth quarter, hes getting cooked on defense and turning the ball over on offense. FVV Butler/Booker/KD Amen Jabari Sengun This is a championship level roster. Jalen Green has already proven he can't handle the lights and I guarantee you he will choke in the playoffs.
Biggest diff I see in other teams is - when they need a bucket end of games they go to the most dynamic shot creator - Ime will give it to JG end of qtrs and end of half … but then end of game you want to use him as a decoy (it’s stupid) he’s our only tough shot maker ATL knows Trea will take it Minn Ant PHX KD Boston Tatum Houston - whoever ends up with the grenade
Which is stupid becuase Amen hurts the team jsut as much as Jalen and Sengun. Amen can’t carry the team. Jalen and Sengun done it before. The rockets can’t give the ball to Amen every possesion. He would lead the league in turnovers
Guys, Jalen will never be great at drawing fouls until he can play better when games become physical down the stretch. Until he gains some strength, he won't be able to use his arm and shoulder as weapons to create space and/or get foul calls. In the 4th, Mikal Bridges length controlled him.
Nah according to Bobby the great Holiday just basked Sheppard's greatness. If only Udoka wasnt insecure about Sheppard and played him instead of Holiday we would've won this game.
I think Ime is to blame for that. Brunson was specially seeking out Green on the pick and rolls because Green kept giving him the lane to get to the basket. Absolutely zero resistance. Adams also doesn't help in situations where we need a mobile center to cover a lot of ground. Hopefully we trade for Robert Williams, he would be really useful for these types of games.
that’s why I’m ready to move him to bench or trade for a more athletic SF - we get killed with length and speed so often and we hope Tari and Amen can provide rim protection
Exactly they’re overachieving. That’s the issue. Do you watch this team when healthy and predict they’re going to dominate in 3-4 years? I don’t. The Kings overachieved and now look. Only difference is age but a lot of our guys have a cap on their ceiling due to very glaring limitations.
I missed the middy then my bad. Dude you could put me in there to move the ball around when needed to. He was a -22 this game, had 6 turnovers and was hunted on defense. 5 points is inexcusable for someone who has been here 4 years already and is being paid the same amount of money as Brunson.
Rockets have 3 starters out lost by 6 to one of the nba contenders. Kings overachieved with their entire complete roster. The difference isnt just age take out Sabonis, Keegan Murray and Keon Ellis what you think Kings record would be?
