Cut USAID, cut workers around the government, and let Musk and his young kids access all your social security numbers, and financial information. They expect Americans to suffer as they implement tariffs, fire workers, and send the money to the rich guys.

Trump says new US sovereign wealth fund could purchase TikTok
President Donald Trump signed an executive order on Monday to create a U.S. sovereign wealth fund and suggested that it could be used to purchase TikTok. The fund is expected to be created in the next 12 months by the U.S. Treasury and Commerce Departments, though it’s not immediately clear how. Trump has said previously it could be funded by “tariffs and other intelligent things,” per Reuters.

Trump has said he has been in talks with multiple people who are interested in purchasing the social network. Last week, he said Microsoft was in talks to buy TikTok, and previously said he would be open to Tesla CEO Elon Musk or Oracle chairman Larry Ellison buying TikTok.

He has said he will likely have a decision regarding the app’s future in the U.S. in February.

But if you work in the US, you pay SS taxes and you get an occasional mailing from the SSA that shows your earnings to date, estimated payments, and other info related to SS so you can plan for your retirement. I don't know what Trump wants but what he gets is going to be for the benefit of this country, if these tariffs hurt us then why is Mexico and Canada so eager to bend the knee? They need us, its not the other way around... All of this are negotiations to get a better deal, Trump is winning on all fronts.... Isn't it nice to have a president who isn't a pushover and that is putting America first?

People on the same team don't usually need to win against each other. Most spectators would be asking why are they in competition when there are actual adversaries the teammates should be uniting against. What kind of crappy team leader would create a competotion?

 

Because before the tariff the only thing we were getting was taken advantage of, its a win win situation for Trump.... I mean if Canada believes we depend on them so much then don't negotiate and let the U.S economy sink... However you know damn well that won't happen, Canada will fold....

I have no doubt Trump would have reached reasonable deals with all of these countries but here we are... Who else on our team want's to try?

Bruh, Mexico has enabled millions of people and drugs to cross into this country.... They haven't done $hit but act offended that we need to stop the massive immigration crisis in our border states. If we can't manage to keep the drugs out of our country as a much wealthier and better organized nation how are they expected to? We have had these asylum laws in place, not sure why they are expected to intervene.

We sent Canada 7 million in aid last year, the equivalent of a years service of Jae'Sean Tate. If we want to end that go for it, same with Mexico who got a more substantial Phoenix Suns roster year of service in 230 million. Not sure why this would justify a tariff if we could just end it though.


The trade benefits for Canada i'm going to need for you to break down for me, how is us spending money on goods that we want us being taken advantage of?

If I got to a garage sale and buy things, should I then accost the seller for not buying as much from me? Nobody is forcing us to buy from Canada, their population is much smaller than ours, and they make less money than us. Where is the problem here?
