With all love and respect, I am not Plowman. I'm sure he's an amazing human, but we are not the same. At this point in my life, my closest relationships with teams are with the Blazers, Nuggets, 76ers, Nets, and Wiz. My relationships with individual players are extensive, but admittedly, I lost a lot once my friend NeNe retired and our James Harden era ended. Temple of doom refers to two players, one being Garrett. The other I don't want to jinx. I'm just hearing that Jock is a goner, but that is expected. Luari's situation is tricky for trades, but he's in demand. The Jazz and Bulls are sellers.y **Personally, I'd like us stay as we are, with the exception of a strong backup PG, center and a sixth man to come in an bust team's asses like Lou Will/ Eric Gordon (oh , hi!)/ etc. 3-4 days, when Jimmy clears and Bradley Beal is settled, you'll see the birds land. XO
The reason you trade Cam is simple. There is no room on this team for him to grow into what he thinks he can be, therefore, he will bolt the first chance he gets. Right now his value might actually be at its highest for this particular team. So yeah if there is a good deal out there for him I'd do it.
Was thinking Phoenix too was wondering if it was a reach. Maybe yeah. Kind of a bird I guess. Out of all those teams, I don't love the trade options. Durant obviously yes. Booker I doubt is available. Raptors if it's not Barnes or Quickley nothing interesting there - maybe Boucher for backup C? Actually Nurkic also a cheap option since Adams is here too, probably won't cost anything but expiring contracts. Beal and picks for FVV and expiring contracts? I don't think we're that dumb. Super curious what they're up to. The way Codman says "I'd prefer things to stay the same" does NOT signal to me that we're talking about a small change.
This I agree with, he's not better than what Brooks gives the Rockets this season, and he's behind 4 other players in Green, Brooks, Eason, and Thompson. If you can flip him for a more consistent scorer off the bench on nights like against the Nets, it is worth giving up his potential. It's obvious we need a backup PG, SG, and PF/C. This team is going to struggle to score in the half court against good teams in the playoffs because the shooting is still abysmal.
Pelicans: Jordan Hawkins Jose Alvarado Hawks: Bogdan Bogdanovic Could be smoke with Bogdanovic. Has been a great shooter his whole career, but this year has been a disaster. Older than you think, and he might be nursing an injury from the olympics... Has been in and out of the rotation due to injuries and DeAndre Hunter taking his spot as the scoring 6th man. Hasn't played since Jan 25th due to "personal" reasons (get ready to be traded buddy). Might be misremembering but doesn't Codman also use freebirds to refer to free agents?
VitKrejci Is an interesting one. Plays for the Hawks. 6'8 skinny hybid guard, can shoot, 2.6:1 asst/to ratio. He's 24 years old with 4 years (including this one) remaining on contract at just $2m per season (weird). Would be a good boost to the backcourt.
Other than Alvarado, don't see what why we would do something so insane as to add Bogdanovic or Hawkins when Green and Whitmore are hot. We have negative minutes at the wing the moment Jabari gets back and pushes people out of the PF spot. Not sure on Codman question.
