I hate the Mavs (see my username)…but I still dont want them done like this. This feels gross and shady. Plus my hate for the lakers is right up there too.

Mavs are owned by a woman that is a doctor.

She doesn't want a fatty that is always dealing with lower body injuries leading her team.

Being married to a fatty billionaire was okay... but she can't have one leading her basketball team.

if you can’t I’ll gladly do it. **** everything Dallas.

im even more giddy about Mark Cuban having to take it with no say since he sold his team away. He really loved Luka and couldn’t do anything to stop this. It’s so hilarious

I don’t like it. I don’t like it at all. There’s a pit in my stomach when I think about it. Probably a “this can happen to you” reaction.

It would suck being a Mavs fan. Trading a superstar way on the right side of 30 is the stupidest trade I have ever seen. I can't stand the Mavs but hate the Fakers more.

To me it's less about Dallas and more about the integrity of a sport I love. On the surface it seems like Dallas got screwed but in reality the NBA as a whole became less fun.

luka is lazy. Always has been. He’s a slightly better Harden and I didn’t have faith Harden could lead a team to a championship and I was right. Luka will get his fat contract and Miss 30% of his games in LA and Lakers fans will hate it.

Such an obvious rigged trade. You don't trade a MVP caliber player who's just entering his prime at age 25 for what they got. Just ridiculous and obvious.

For the first time in my life, I feel bad for Dallas. The NBA is a rigged product.

The Mavs learned from the Rockets on Harden. They will never be able to win a ring with him, so why pay him the money.

I don't know if this makes me a bad Rockets fan or whatever but this is just too sh*tty for me to even feel happy about it.

I would happily gloat about them getting swept in the first round or whatever, but man, that fanbase just got obliterated. For those of you like me who lived through the Hakeem era and it really cemented yourselves as a Rockets fan, would you even still be a fan of the team if we had traded him away in 1990 for like, 33-year-old Kevin McHale and a draft pick? This is the sports-metaphor equivalent of your city getting hit by an atom bomb.

Mavs fans are just done--a lot of them are abandoning their favorite team en masse. I want them to suffer humiliating sporting defeats, not have their entire basketball fandom crushed by one of the worst trades in NBA history.

It was a Mavs fan named Captain Jackass during the Rockets Mavs 2015 playoff series that went on epic hilarious rants. I remember watching all of his videos after every game that series. The game where Dwight and Josh Smith were dunking every play was the best. A++ content!

Just found a video of him getting triggered at Deandre Jordan for not coming to the Mavs. This was right after the infamous episode of Mark Cuban driving around downtown Houston while Deandre was ignoring all of his calls. Classic!

I'm not gonna say I feel bad for Mavs fans, but you know if it can happen to them it can happen to us. Just like it once happened with Memphis. The corporate insertion into the NBA and funneling of players to big markets is disgusting because they don't care about your particular team so much as the overall ratings of the league.

Nah, this sort of betrayal by the team hits too close to home. After we lost the Oilers to Tennessee and almost lost the Rockets to Louisville, you know any fambase can be subject to this kind of betrayal by ownership. There but for the grace of God…

Where’s that guy with the mask that makes screaming vids from his car after losing to the Rockets?

Perhaps I missed more of the exchange, but what’s the betrayal? The GM is supposed to think big picture and ultimately they didn’t have faith in Luka to be a premier two way player that can win championships. Not when he comes in fat every off season and whines incessantly. They got another all star that can potentially lead them to a ring this year and next. What are Mavs fans losing? IF they win or just compete for a ring the next two years, it will be better than falling off a cliff in 3 years because Luka gets paid too much and spends it all on Golden Corral buffets.

Except they literally went to the finals last season with Luka. The Rockets would have won a ring with Harden if CP3 didn't go down or the refs didn't cheat them...
