Does Brad Beal allow a trade to Chicago? Better city for a player to live in than Phoenix, bigger media market, more to do, climate is a wash (terrible winters vs terrible summers). But they're already rebuilding and have absolutely no hope of making noise in the playoffs, unlike the Suns where you can at least kinda sorta squint since they do have KD and Book.

LaVine doesn’t work for Riley’s timeline, but Ball+Vucevic does, and works salary-wise, too. Two or all three of those picks the Suns got from Utah would probably need to go to Chicago with some seconds thrown in for the Heat.

That’s probably a long shot, but the best deal I can figure off the top of my head.

Have no interest in Butler. He would sour what Ime has created with our young team that is currently the talk across the league after our two wins against the Cavs. i have a great opinion of Coach Udoka and my opinion of Stone has gone up considerably. Why on earth would we turn all that on it's head by trading for a malcontent who's not a good fit?

Not only is Butler not a good fit with our team, in my opinion, Miami wouldn't move the guy for nothing. Riles will, understandably, want a lot to do a deal. Participate in a multi-team trade, helping to "grease the wheels" so we can get something out of it? If it helps improve of team, why not? Let Butler be some other team's headache.

I am not as worried because Tilman seemingly has learned his hard lesson......and Jimmy is coveted by multiple teams....no worries.

Not betting on it so it is less than an educated guess given what we know but the great record is in the way.

I would be even less worried if we were the 4th or 6th seed because our expectation level would be much lower.

Trade #1: MIL - HOU or MIL - DET
MIL: Landale (HOU) + Tate (HOU) + SRP
Gets MIL below 2nd apron while adding depth.
    HOU: Lopez (MIL)
Gets another front court player for Htown who was an original target. Plus strokes the 3 (giggity).

(more likely) MIL-DET: Connaughton to DET for SRP

    Trade #2: MIL - CHI - PHO - MIA
MIL: LaVine (CHI) + 1 FRP from PHX
CHI: Beal (PHX) + 1 FRP from PHX
MIA: Middleton (MIL) + Carter (CHI) (doesn't have to be included) + FRP from PHX
    PHX: Butler (MIA)

I think that mavs 2029 pick the rockets have is now the single most valuable draft asset that any team owns.

Can you elaborate? What changed the value of this pick so radically?

I guess it's cause it's right when Davis and Kyrie will certainly be retired?

The mavs just traded luka. Instead of having a 29 year old in his prime superstar they now have nothing for the future. Davis and kyrie will be long gone (or super old). Before the trade, that pick was a low upside lottery ticket where basically it’s only value was luka getting injured. Now it looks incredible.

    It's not just the 29 Mav's pick.

It's the two best picks among Hou, PHX and Dallas with the worst of the three going to Brooklyn.

BKN weren't tanking until we agreed to give them back their picks.
IE, they secured the Bridges deal contingent on getting back their picks.
Would they have been about as good as PHX currently is if they weren't trying to lose? Probably.

Zach Lowe says a bunch of chatter around the league is centered around Durant and if he is available.
