i was just wonderin' what kind of music you people are into. I know we all have the Rockets in common, just wonderin' if some of us share the same taste in music... as for me...i'm into hip hop like Wu-Tang, Jay-Z, DMX, Cash Money, and a lot others, but i also listen to other artists like Limp Bizkit. ------------------
I've always had broad tastes in music: everything from Mozart to Metallica. I love classical stuff, hip-hop, blues, jazz (NOT the Utah kind), big-band swing, and of course rock in all of its flavors. I usually listen to the harder stuff like Pantera, Korn, Metallica, and lots 'o Ozzy. ------------------ Proud Cheerleader 'til we move to New Orleans 302
If you've been around long enough you've answered this question like ten times, but I'll play along. I believe I have a fairly broad range of music that I like. Some of my favorite bands include (in no particular order, except the first two): Jethro Tull (I have 23 of their CDs), Aerosmith (I have every album they've made), The Doors, Prince, Sade (Own all her albums), The Police, ZZ Top (old stuff), Stevie Ray Vaughn, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Elvis, Jerry Lee Lewis, Metallica (pre-"One"), AC/DC (old stuff), Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, Vanessa Williams, Whitney Houston, Guns n Roses (first two albums ONLY), Whitesnake, Steppenwolf, Bob Marley (Reggae is my new favorite music to just "jam" to). Bands that I like, but don't consider my favorites: The Allman brothers, The Beatles, Led Zepplin, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Red Hot Chili Peppers, En Vogue, TLC, George Michael (mainly just "Faith" album), Lionel Richie (Dude, "Hello" rocks!), Madonna, Nirvana, Eryka Badu, The Eagles. I can't think of any more right now. I'm sure I could name hundreds of artists where I like at least one of their songs, but that'd be a waste of time. I guess I tend to consider "Classic Rock" my favorite. And, looking at my list "Southern Rock" is way up there too.

Yes I am a huge fan of Hendrix. I, like you, have around 40 Cd's and albums. What are you looking for? anything in particular? I have live stuff as well as studio jams too. ------------------ "Is it tomorrow, or just the end of time"- Jimi Hendrix (Purple Haze) [This message has been edited by BobFinn* (edited March 29, 2000).]
Here goes: Slick Rick, Dr. Dre, Queen, Prince, Howard Ashman and Alan Menken(ESPECIALLY stuff from their pre-Disney days), Bob Marley, Janet Jackson, Aerosmith, Tupac, Nas, Snoop Dogg, Michael Jackson, Rush, Madonna(pre-Ray of Light), and Green Jell-O. ------------------ WE WILL WATCH THEM FALL... next year, at least.
i like Slick Rick too, he's got an original flow along with Eminem (the j.williams of rap ) and Nas, but Nas's last album was a big dissappointment. If you're really into hip hop, the Beanie Sigel and Black Rob albums are worth getting. ------------------
Yes Mango, I have Hendrix's awesome (and funny)version of Gloria. ------------------ "Is it tomorrow, or just the end of time"- Jimi Hendrix (Purple Haze)
All the boys bands like NSync, 98ยบ, etc. Nah but cereally, Modest Mouse, Mocket, the Smiths, Cocteau Twins, TuPac, Tribe, Superchunk, Neil Young oldies but qualifiers- Prince, Screaming Trees (the old stuff), Mudhoney, Mark Lanegan ------------------
Tupac and Biggie were my favorite. Now its Snoop. But on a different not here are some bands/singers I just hate. That fool Juvenile, BackStreet Fags, that stupid ass song by Pink, and whoever sings that Thong song. I also cant stand Celine Dieon, TLC, and that b**** name Shaq. I mean what kind of stupid ass song is "Do you want me to pass it, want me to shoot it, blah blah blah" AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHhhhhhh Sorry but that song just annoys the hell out of me. ------------------
