I disagree. Jokic, while 29, is in year 2 of a 5yr/280M contract and might be the best floor-raising basketball player in the history of basketball. Man is still in his prime, never gets injured and somehow keeps getting better. If the Mavs had Jokic instead of Luka, last year, I believe they beat Boston in the Finals. Kyrie would be a better Jamal Murray and the rest of the supporting cast >> Denver's supporting cast. Meanwhile, the whole thing with Luka is, he's about to sign a ridiculously big contract (deserved, but still TONS of money) and his conditioning apparently sucks and he gets injured often. Jokic, Shai, Wembanyama are the 3 untouchables, I think, when it comes to trading for Luka. And even Shai is arguable.
This whole thing has me thinking about the T-Mac to H-Town trade. McGrady was sideways with his GM, and the GM decided to 'show him who's boss' by trading him for Francis, Mobley and Cato (I will always contend that this was a bad trade for Houston). T-Mac was considered a top talent in the NBA at the time and the trade was considered very lopsided. And it all started with executive ego.

You're right, except the way OKC is dominating now, you don't touch Shai; it's OKC's to lose this year. And that's a good org, they know what's up, unlike Dallas which just **** the bed harder than anyone in NBA history.

Holy ****, they just did a press conference and it was brutal, fed Jason Kidd to the lions after a few minutes. Unfortunately the reporters are complete cowards. He gave more praise to Kleber than to Doncic, jesus….and then said in 10 years him and Jason would likely be buried for this. Why the **** include Jason Kidd with your mistake?! Also said he knows the type of players Jason likes. Just awful...
I mean F Dallas sports fans, but I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy. Having to watch your young franchise player right after carrying you to the Finals get given away to the f*cking Lakers of all teams. Nah, it's too awful to even feel much schadenfreude. Except that draft pick is looking p juicy now.
