Anyone who follows this organization knows that we have a history of playing well right before the trade deadline and then not making necessary competitive moves because they always buy into the “fools gold”. I know Alpi was out, but I hope this loss wakes Stone and others up to realize we need to make a big move and get one more star to be able to overtake OKC.
Nobody who is available will make a difference against okc. Making a stupid panic trade is the worst thing the rockets can do.
This is obvious to most, but inanimal always starts these stupid threads. That sentiment could have been stated in one of about ten threads, but that's not good enough for attention seekers.
Loser’s attitude you have and not surprising looking at your pathetic history of being a Silas supporter!
I think it would be really foolish to make a big move at the deadline this year. Nothing realistic can put us on the same level as the real contenders, just enjoy the ride and let the young guys on this team get some valuable playoff experience. We'll have a much better idea of what we really need after we see this team in a playoff series (hopefully more than one).
Difference between me and you is that I’m in a “win now” mode and you are in a “win never” mode . Sitting on your arse and waiting for a championship while teams all around you are making moves to improve is a recipe for year after year disappointment as can be seen by our last Finals appearance 31 freaking years ago!!!
Nobody that we could get would make any difference in winning a championship this season. You’re in a “lets throw away assets to lower our chances at an eventual title because i’m a bozo mode”
Id be ok with moving Tari and Cam as part of a package to receive a major piece back. Ive never bought into a core 7 and I think they'll end up moving a couple of the young players we drafted at some point anyways. Even if it didnt lead to a championship this season itd give the team several games to gel and be better prepared heading into next season.
As much as I love Tari I am okay with getting a more rounded player back specially if they are taller - Cam I’m okay in including, he’s prob going to end up a microwave six man for his career or at best Cam Thomas Holiday can be end of bench or can be included for a bigger backup PG - just like Jock needs to be traded for a bigger athletic big… we have no real rim protection / lob threat to counter teams
Teams are playing us as they will in the playoffs, more or less. Zone defense, forcing us to win in the half court. Shooting from three is of a premium. Or we will be a quick out.
Dillon is slumping and his defense if a bit off.....must be tired Amen has never been a good shooter nor has Tari Sheppard is a baby lamb Sengun can't shoot Adams gives us less hope Tate is not great The 10th seed might even give us problems unless we bring in another shooter to go with Jabari.
First give Stone credit for turning this franchise around. Alot of the idiots that wanted him fired last year are the same ones celebrating this teams success. Interesting
You mean “after we see this team lose in a playoff series”. Fox to Spurs….why doesn’t anyone in Houston want to win now and understand that the league ain’t sitting around waiting for the Rockets decent but not great players to come together in several years!!!!!!!!!
Stone has to prove himself, he only proved his team could draft players mostly, has to prove he can trade like the best of them. In due time and that time is coming up sooner. He is sitting on a minor treasure trove so it shouldn't be that difficult.
Stone hasn’t turned anything around. Reed was a disaster pick, as was Smith and our team may very well be the 6th seed in a month and facing an early playoff exit. Trading the Nets picks for the Suns picks was moronic and cost us a shot at a great lottery this year. Trading LeVert and Jarred Allen for Oladipo was horrible. Turning it around and Stone being a good gm is based on good trades which needs to be done you bunch of softies in order to win the West!
Stone hasn't turned anything around? Lol. One of the quickest rebuilds in the league. We're currently 2nd in the West with the youngest & cheapest roster in the NBA, best coach in the NBA & maybe the next superstar in Amen. What kinda meth are you on my friend
