I get the Mavs thought Luka playing out of the Harden book and showing up going "I'm a fat guy now, you should probably trade me but only to this team".

That being said, Luka much younger when he did it and the trade value in the league is much higher. The Rockets also made a solid showing of shopping him around to boost the Brooklyn offer.

Dallas could have gotten any player they wanted, including Lebron with exception of any no trade clauses (official and verbal). How did they not get Reaves?

I had turned off the awful game early last night and didn’t pay attention to sports news etc. so waking up to this is a shocker. Like a lot have said something definitely seems fishy about this trade. I don’t know what to think.

The Mavs are idiotic for their trade. Let's not pay a generational talent and trade for a big man who's often injured or falls down when the ghost of Nate Robinson breathes on him. Ugh...Kyrie is never going to be happy...he doesn't have the psychological wavelength to be content.
