Ime needs to give this kid them keys to the team. I get he wants to play with his news toy in Thompson. But this is Greens team. He is our leader. He is the guy everything should be going through. finally he should touch the ball in every clutch worthy situation, first.
You are joking right? AMen in Clutch shooting situations this year is 16-18 FG% Jalen is a very nice complimentary scoring piece, but he is NOT a superstar player. DD
Jalen going to be in the dunk contest if he makes all star. Jalen sounds mature for a 22 year old. that's probably why he's dating a 40 year old taylor rooks is fine as hell.
Jalen Green is showing here why the vibe and chemistry of the Rockets is so good. Both him and Sengun are the first guys to praise their teammates instead of putting them down so they look better. JG openly praising Amen his "junior" as a superstar because Amen is just that good shows JG's character, he isn't petty or jealous at all about his teammates' success. For comparison look at what John Wall said about rookies JG and KPJ. Throws them under the bus, keeps talking down to them about "not knowing how to win" when Wall himself has done nothing but lose on the wizards. I dont think Green is at the stage where he can be the leader of this team yet, but he is def a good role model for everyone with his work ethic, positive attitude and coachability.
Totally agree, it doesn't seem like either Green or Sengun are like "I'm the biggest star, I got the biggest balls etc etc" they're more than happy to shout out teammates and give them flowers. No "I'm the head honcho" type ****, it's all super good vibes. Now I'm not saying either Alpi or Jalen are the emotional leaders of the team, but they're the two that have been here the longest in terms of our young core, and I'm positive the other young guys appreciate the shout outs. And yeah Wall has proven himself to be super toxic in his post-prime period, and more than a little bitter. Ah well, it is what it is. edit: In terms of the interview, I really like how Jalen is always self-aware...he seems mature and mentally ready to keep improving. He's always been a good interviewee though, even going back to his G-league days
Jalen is for sure maturing, hearing him talk about he wasn’t giving it all under Silas was more self aware than I expected. And the way he talks about Amen athleticism like he’s multiple tiers above anyone is wild considering before Amen we were all talking about Greens freaking athleticism.
Damn Rooks' career must be stalling if she's interviewing replacement level dudes now. On another note, I'll say this as a Green fan: Green might be underrating Amen's offensive abilities. Amen is going to shock him too I guess, which is fine by me haha.
Jalen's basketball IQ is dramatically improved. His first 2.5 years his answers about basketball questions were awful. He does seem to get it now off the court now, which must be feeding him getting it on the court. The kid's growing up fast.
What is cool about Jalen Green, during practice when he receives the ball he hands it off to Reed Sheppard besides him in shooting 3 pointers. Jalen Green keeps passing Reed the ball. Very Selfless, he is not bigger than anyone, he cares about his teammates.
Neck is all compacted. Needs a ring dinger adjustment. He reminds of that Beetlejuice small head patient.
Is that 16-18 or 16-18%? I'm assuming 16-18. I would like to see a higlight of every one of those 16 buckets and see how many of them are from being a short roller or in the dunker spot and utilizing the gravity of Green or Sengun. Look, we've seen Amen try to attack set half court point of attack defenses and he sometimes leaves the ball behind him while going forward because his handle is just not their yet.
Anyone who would give Thompson the ball with no jump shot vs Jalen that can get any clean shot off from anywhere on the court... is either senile or delusional...or both. With love DD, BB.
