I love Jalen and he’s gonna be a star for us! I said this when he was struggling in November, and I’ll say it as he keeps improving and hopefully helps us get a chip one day! I would make a bunch of posts reiterating my opinion but I think people are getting tired of me already
Jalen is literally averaging 2.5 tos per game. Why dont you use stats to back up your assertions if you are claiming to be an intellectual?
Dude, come off your condescending high horse. Nobody has to prove anything to you. You are just one poster on the forum (and an unbalanced one at that). Use the search function. You are a real trip!
I've said it before, and I'll say it again -- without Jalen, we're probably beaten pretty badly tonight. This board has such a weird mentality. If a player isn't a superstar, then he must be a sixth man. How is that sensible? The last 20 games, Jalen has averaged 25 points while shooting .4+ from 3. At 22 years old. Those are sixth man numbers? Those are numbers to cry about? Get a grip, people.
Jalen plays 38 minutes and we outscore the other team by 10 in those minutes, but he sits for 10 minutes and we get outscored by 11 during that time. And I guess that's Jalens fault? Also we had two possessions to put the game away, both were FVV bricks, and Jalen Green didn't even get to touch the ball.
Tonight isa night where you find out who sincerely in good fait criticizes Green and who are just abject haters.
What a bizarre overreaction. Why do you speak in declaratives like you know the future and the inner workings of a 22 year old? It damages your credibility. Because of a loss on the road to a good team by 1 point without Sengun? The stats don’t support your claim, either, for what it’s worth. The offense did NOT, in fact, flow well when he was off the court — we were -11 in the 10 minutes he sat. But don’t let context and reality get in the way of your biases.
550 pages of pure hatred/passion for a likeable young man .. Green missed his calling to be a reality TV star lol
He’s our leading scorer overall and in the clutch and we have the 3rd-record in the league. What a joke
That long stretch with 5 in the third to 9 in the 4th without Jalen was pretty tough to watch, I know our bench basically played them even but I feel like keeping Jalen in a little longer in the third could’ve created more separation. Obviously Jalen needs rest too, and he’s more than likely a little dinged up by virtue of him playing through everything, but I might’ve waited a few more minutes to take him out, especially since he was playing well in the third
You should throw more tantrums over regular season losses on the road against good teams by 1 point when we’re playing without our Allstar — it’s a great look. Makes you seem measured and reasonable. The personal insult at a kid who seems like a good dude and teammate and is the leading scorer on the 3rd-best team in basketball is a nice touch too.
If Jalen were a horrible teammate like CWood, or a scumbag like Miles Bridges, I'd get the dislike more. But Jalen has ALWAYS said the right thing in interviews, has always been respected by his coaches, and seems to be an all-around good kid (who's marketable and likeable as well). Has he been a superstar for us? No. But in the last two years especially he's improving rapidly and doesn't seem to be slowing down. I just wish we as fans could enjoy our players a bit more sometimes. It's not like we have any bearing on what trades will be made anyhow!
Yeah it seems like dozens of posters on this site are just legit miserable whiny assholes. This season has been an unmitigated success and a delight so far and we have 1 hard-fought loss on the road without our Allstar and these miserable pricks come to pour their bile onto the Clutchfans servers so that we can all share in their misery. It’s kinda gross, frankly.
in the 4th green missed a 3 that would have put us up 11 shutting the door on memphis. he also had a bad fastbreak turnover 1 on 1 vs wells. but the other few missed shots and turnovers in the paint were bs non-calls by ben taylor (one of them actually being a kicked ball by JJJ which fuking taylor just ignored). most egregious was the hard foul on green’s drive (right before amen got pushed in the lower back) so anyways this loss was on udoka for stupidly deciding to go away from green down the stretch in favor of the other guys like fred who were even worse all game udoka needs to learn that you dance with who brought you to the dance not the 4’11” hoodrack wallflower. but of course, udoka has a storied history of changing up his dance partners from song to song
There's just not enough joy on Clutchfans these days...though to be fair, was there EVER a lot of joy? The only thing that'll unite everyone would be a deep playoff run where everyone plays well. I KNOW it's gonna happen, we have the right personnel and coaching to bring us there.
Him and Clarkson must have a lot of Filipino fans but they never seem to garner a lot of the attention as stars. I wouldn't say he is marketable yet, sponsors are after him but right now I am not hearing fairweather fans all after him yet. Someone who is at least a Top 5 athlete in this league should have a bigger following but he has like Top 15 Popularity All Star voting at best. And I follow the ballots every year, the Rox votes abundantly go to Sengün.
