Why if not because of money?

    Kupp is the better WR.

I think kupp is washed or very close to it.

From the start of December through the rest of the season, he had 18 receptions total in 7 games. I don’t want to sink more resources into another aging receiver. I wouldn’t resign Diggs either to be fair.

Kupp lost a step but seems to be open all the time. Would be a great security blanket for CJ.

I'm inclined to believe there's a possibility that we re-sign him considering the state of our WR room. Unless Tank Dell fully recovers we'll have only Nico Collins as a quality starter. With Tank we have two. Diggs will give us three (again) IF the price is right. I'd LOVE to see us snag Tez Johnson out of Oregon to give us FOUR quality receivers.

I will question whether Dell will ever be the player he was again until he proves it on the field. That knee injury was devastating and his separation skill was very reliant on things which stress the knee far more than a power receiver. Quickness is easily lost.

IMO you have to go into this year with the mindset that Tank won't be there, Metchie and X are not a #2 so we have to either go young and cheap through the draft or sign a Diggs or Kupp on a team friendly deal. In the long run I would prefer to draft the next #2 WR as we need money at other positions. This is going to be big year for Nick, he needs to maximize the draft picks into legitimate NFL players. My EA Sports persona would have us trading Tunsil for Draft capital, it wont happen but I am just tired of his personality, the dude just isn't a DAWG and his "habits" rub off on the rest of the line, I am tired of coddling players like Tunsil, send a message that this wont be tolerated. It wont happen but...............EA Sports, it's in the game

We are low enough in the draft that we may not be able the target for need and have to take BPA regardless. Lot's of DTs which may or may not be needed depending on signings in FA. I find it hard to pass on OL if a good one drops up. WR or even a top notch TE could be a good weapon. I kind of envision someone like a healthier Noah Brown or a better early down blocking TE to max protect or act as an outlet.

I like our depth, but we lose a lot more this year and we are no longer flush with cash.

I will say it again, Dell is TOO SMALL for pro football. He is getting seriously injured every season. I think his Drs are likely telling him to retire.

Neither one of his injuries had anything to do with his size, especially the most recent. A player torpedo’ed his knee. That would’ve knocked Nico out, too.

Exactly why I said no chance he comes here. It’ll be between the Patriots and Raiders. Commanders should get in on it though.
