Could Alperen for Fox be the core of a blockbuster trade?

lol I do remember beyond last year. Good point -- I remember how many on here lectured about how the Sixers were the obvious trade destination for Harden, and very few wanted to discuss the Nets' package.

    Like anything.... what's the cost?

I actually think the Spurs getting Fox would suck for the Rockets, but eventually the Spurs will make a significant move to pair with Wemny

I'm okay with moving players and picks for the right guy, but Fox can't shoot it from downtown and lacks the size/ defensive chops I'm looking for.

I'm also hesitant to move Cam.

I don't know why you care so much about what other posters think. Again, I am talking about Charania's insider info. I don't care what fans think about these things. At no point in time did Charania not have Nets as a preferred destination.

Funny how you don't mention the subsequent reporting about how Harden's preference was Philadelphia. Harden even later admitted it. Once a player gives a list of "preferred" destinations, the team is going to make the best deal in its interests, regardless of the player's absolute #1 choice. That very well may be the Spurs. But to dismiss Houston and Miami as potential destinations is foolish.

He wants the Spurs and if he goes there we're screwed. This forced move to Wemby will, on its own, deliver another star to Spurs after Fox. People are going to want to force trades there and their teams will have to pick up some of Spurs' garbage.

I find it F*CKING suspicious that the Spurs chose not to tank this season and now they're team #1 for Fox. It's almost as though they knew they wouldn't be able to tank this season. How perfectly convenient, just like landing the #1 pick in the first place.

Contrary to media reports, I don't think Kings will for sure trade him to Spurs and I do think the Rockets are on the phone about which picks they would have to include to get him and which one of FVV/Brooks to give up.

The Rockets are not denying this enough for my liking so far. I feel like they are considering trading Brooks, Landale, Holiday and picks for Fox and a throw in. Move FVV to the Bench.

Very on the fence but now leaning towards: it's hard to resist Amen/Green/Fox trio. My concern is that I don't think Sengun fits with that at all for the next 2 years - we have a clear experiment in Sabonis showing the limitations and we have a coach who is probably least likely in the league to be able to implement the Mike Brown Kings' offense that made Sabonis/Fox have legit impact on wins.

Don't you think the Kings may want FVV? He'd immediately replace Fox and the Kings would have him for up to two years (just like Fox). A lineup of FVV / Monk / DeRozen / Murray / Sabonis is pretty interesting. On the other hand, I'm not sure where Brooks would fit in well for them.

The larger question is what else would they want aside from Brooks or FVV and picks. Obviously Amen and Sengun are untouchable, and Green is essentially untouchable due to the PPP (I'd also like to see a Fox/Green backcourt). So, Cam? Bari? Sheppard? I'd be really interested to know which prospect(s) they favor.

These guys got us this far we are not trading for Fox. Keep the core together. Internal growth.

I think FVV would be better than them, but I think they would do it for Brooks and picks. Teams only care about picks. Non-picks in a trade is like getting fruit on a trick-or-treat. Yeah it's good, but it's not what people want.

They're not getting picks and good players from anyone. They're getting picks and contracts that can be converted into picks. The total number of picks - both raw and converted - will not exceed 5. If you take 1 bad contract off their hands, that can replace a pick too since it would cost them a pick anyway.

So you're talking Brooks, fillers and 4 picks for Fox. I doubt we give up a single person from the core 7. They were not interested until the price dropped, seems unlikely they will now be willing to include a young prospect.

Bro you're all in on Booker, what defensive chops could you possibly be looking for?

We'd have to be careful though. If we let Sacramento have both Sengun and Sabonis they'd be unstoppable.
