Finally they switch us over...took them long enough...looks like the game will start closer to 4 the way they are going.

Football has always found a way to screw me, back in the day it was Futurama but now they're messing with my baseball and thats just going too damn far for my liking. I have mass at 6 so looks like 1.5 hrs of viewing and .5 hrs of listening, don't worry I'll be praying for the Stros.

    Grrrrrr Football.
Texans won thats all Houstonians give a damn about for today at least.

Did they just say that Walker is a smart Outfielder? When has he been a good defender. Did i miss that or something...then they go to say he is an older Beltran...im sorry i never saw Walker steal bases and have that defensive ability.

The comparison isn't that ridiculous though.

Walker started out as a CF, and he had good wheels when he was younger, stealing 20-30 bases a year. He also used to have a gun for an arm.

Carlos his much faster than Walker ever was though, but honestly, as far as pure hitting, I'd give the edge to Walker.

They didn't Flex their muscles...our bullpen was throwing beach balls to them. My little cousin could hit those out of the park...stop giving them credit for our defensive mistakes and pitching woes.

Pure Hitter yes Walker is much better but when Walker was stealing bases, everyone was. Remember Biggio was stealing a lot too. Also Henderson had 130. Those times have changed and to steal 40 bases and hit that many home runs is very rare right now. Walker didn't have this kind of power when he was younger.

I would still give the edge to Beltran in most respects but as far as a better hitter and knowing how to hit...yes Walker has the edge.

that was a NASTY curve to Womack, on both the 2nd and 3rd pitch

if Oswalt has that Curve working, then the Cards are going to be in for a long day
