Fox would be an extremely faster FVV

Fox to Spurs and Butler to GSW helps our PHX pick(s), but could also bite us in the butt first and second rounds of the playoffs lol. Obviously I'd prefer playoff success this season over the pick situation (unless if it somehow were to land Cooper then that makes it more complicated), but it's just another wrinkle

Ha Ha I would love to see Zion go to Miami, purely for comedy.

No. If Jalen was 25yrs old and current play was his ceiling, the yes but because he's 22yrs old and still improving and filling out body wise, then NO

Who would you consider “big game hunter” just wondering because a lot of people consider different players big game hunters

Fox is a closer, one of the most clutch players in the league. I wouldn't mind trading Cam/Reed for him with picks. We are already a contender so we won't need our picks anytime soon.

Picks are about the only way a contender can bring in useful rotation players at an affordable price. I think we may need them more, we just don't necessarily need them to be high picks anymore because we can just look for quality roleplayers instead of trying to take big swings on guys with star upside.

Given the unreliable output of FVV and Jalen we would be stupid not to try if they move him before the deadline. Significant upgrade on both.

If you think the Rockets are too young and too early to contend, I can understand if you don't want to get Fox. But if you think the Rockets belong with the top of the NBA right now with OKC, Boston, and maybe Cavs/Nuggets/whoever else you put here, then the Rockets should look to trade for Fox. Because he can be the difference between 2nd round exit and a championship.

I don’t see how we can keep watching this team squander leads down the stretch of games and not see how Fox would immediately address that issue. Do we really think winning games this way is sustainable in the playoffs?

This is not directed at you but I have heard this many times before over the years and its just BS. I have even bought it myself only to see it for what it is. What's new this offseason that we don't know now. Many of our assets degrade and go away. We have a great team and it will be even better in the offseason. Chemistry? Which chemistry? Fred going 2 for 9 on back to back nights. We didn't make these BS excuses for Harden when he was killing it in wins but failing in the playoffs. What makes FVV so special we can vastly overpay him for middling or poor production and then act like he is the core. Amen, Sengun, Jalen, Tari, Bari, Ime, Cam, and Reed are the core. That is the chemistry.

Brooks and FVV are renting our cap. We are keeping Jabari so Brooks isn't staying anyway. We need to maximize our assets and respect the great team we have now. They need help. They have earned the right and deserve the chance to win now with as many weapons as we can give them. Hell they are doing this without "stars". You're telling me that locker room would be sad about FVV leaving and Durant entering? BS. No one is talking about dumping FVV for a bag of skittles. We shouldn't wait for the "magical" offseason where opportunities now just wait for you to act on them or there are suddenly all of the opportunities you wish for to just appear. Like the rest of things in real life you have to take advantage of the opportunities in front of you. Waiting on what exactly and can you even act on it when it appears? Other teams can act then too and outbid us. What is the cost then versus now? Right now, Fox is available, Butler is available and cheap and GETTING TRADED, and Durant may be available. Also, blocking Butler or getting him protects our Suns assets and opens the door for Durant. When will the stars align like that again? Booker may cost 5 picks, Ant may not be tradable but it would be the moon and stars. Who else do we want or is worth it? With the offseason choices you mention I don't want to give up any of our core. We need Durant, we need a Fox, we can use a Butler and realize we needed it. We can do SOME of these things, not give up any of our core, and still have our main draft weapons for the future (2025, 2029 PHX picks, 2027 Nets).

If we act now, this offseason we might have a high Suns lottery pick in this draft and a chip and Butler and Durant or something. If we worry about chemistry and do nothing, we have to pick up Fred's option, our Suns pick might be garbage, we lose Unc Jeff, Jock, Tate, Adams, and Holiday for nothing and there might be a whole lot of nothing else for us to do because other teams didn't wait for the offseason. Also, we made the choice to be OK with losing a whole season that we were great in only to do what we should have done a couple of months later. The logic doesn't work. Butler is moving now. We need to make sure its not PHX. Fox is moving now. Tell me what other superstar PG we are getting or will be available in the offseason or at all. Durant might wait and might not.

There are smart ways we can act now and later but the smart play is to act now. Teams that beat the best teams don't wait for later to see if they are good, they know it.

We are a top 4 team in the NBA. This core hasn’t played high leverage do or die games yet. For all we know this group could win it all. At the very least we need more data before tinkering.

There are like 4 elite prospects in this draft and almost everyone in the lottery has an argument for number 1 in that last draft. Phoenix missing the playoffs would be a massive boon for the team with or without Flagg.
