I thought they had closed the door on trading Fox this year but Fox and Durant with the Rockets would be unstoppable.

Come on now lol. You'd have to give up FVV in this scenario.

I would give them Reed, Cam, Tate, Landale, and 2 1st round picks. Start Fox, Green, Brooks, Amen, and Sengun, with Fred, Tari, Bari, and Adams off the bench.

Fox and Monk have been tag-team closers for the Kings. DeRozan has been added to the equation this year.

IMO, Fox and Amen would give the Rockets a dominant starting backcourt. Both guys are very talented, smarter than the average bear and would learn to play off each other's strengths.

Alpi would have to adapt his game to having two guys who can get deep in the paint anytime they want.

Give me Fox, slap Amen in at SG, add Cam Johnson at SF, Cage match between Brooks, JSJ, Tari, Whitmore for other forward, and Sengun at center.

I would have thought the direction the picks were going would have given away how serious I was.

I love Fox, but I think we don't want the ball out of Amen's hands - so we say no to Fox, and find players to fit around Amen.

Fox is under contract for 2 seasons:

    $34.8M and $37.1M

He is eligible this summer to sign a 4/$229M extension.

He can sign the same extension 6 months after he was traded.

There’s a $77M difference if Fox played out the 2025-26 season and signed with a team that has cap space.

    Bird: 5/$296M

    Non-Bird: 4/$219M

    I should pay more attention.

I still like Fox over FVV. I think it would be incredible to watch Jalen and Amen play with Fox. High tempo game all game long. Can Fox knock down the three point shot would be the huge question mark.

Idk. I don't have the highest opinion of Jalen but I'd rather let him and Amen cook for a year with no FVV starting before I try to bring in a star at SG

I wanted Fox a few months ago but I feel like he's not one that can build around Amen for multiple seasons. Jalen I can see fitting around Amen

    My rankings:
    1) Htown (home + on verge) FVV (maybe Cam?) for Fox + Heurter or Lyles
    2) Spurs ($$$ & Wemby + TX) Fox for Keldon + Tre Jones
    3) Heat (S. Florida) Fox + Heurter for Himmy + Richardson
    4) Fakers (who knows) Fox + McBuckets for Rui + Reaves + Vincent
    5) Suns (willing to pay / $$$$) Fox + Lyles to PHX // LaVine to Kings // Beal to Bulls
    6) Wolves (Ant + savior) doesn't work IMHO

A player that is actively destroying their own trade value is the biggest red flag there can be.

I think it will be down to Rockets or Spurs as Fox destination. If he's dictating the terms of his departure, I can't imagine he'd want to manuever himself to OKC, especially since they already have Jalen Williams and SGA. The only other asset rich teams who are also competing right now are the Spurs and the Rockets, as Utah and Brooklyn are both rebuilding. Spurs have two Atlanta picks and swap for the next three years. Rockets have the two Phoenix picks (they can also send the Phoenix 2025 pick as a potential swap if Sacramento wants it). The Rockets have better young prospects than Spurs IMO, and they probably would be willing to part with more prospects since the team is more established than the Spurs.

My take is that if the Rockets front office wants Fox, they can land him. The only question is the price.

Spurs make too much sense for Fox. They have draft capital and they need a legit PG

I feel unsure trading for Fox since he'll be demanding that max contract. He is 27 this year so he will sort of fit our timeline, an upgrade to FVV for sure.

But, I've grown to like Fred and wish he would stay as our 6th man for the rest of his career.. unlikely tho since he's only 31 and can get another big contract somewhere else... I know ppl hate on Fred and his chucking but it's gonna be sad to see him go since we were so terrible before the arrival of Fred, Ime and Dillon.

Also, we're gonna lose a ton of assets trading for Fox.. I think it'd be much better to sign him in free agency in 26' when we're more sure of who will be the better players on our team.

Spurs make too much sense for Fox, they have everything going for them in a trade like that but if I were the Kings I'd be hesitant because Spurs are a conference rival and trading Fox to them will likely mean Kings missing the playins. If I were the Kings, I'd much rather trade Fox for Butler.

Just going to point out that this works as well:
MIA: Brooks (HOU) + Heurter (SAC) + Landale (HOU) + a SRP via HOU
    Ducks under tax.

SAC: FVV (HOU) + Tate (HOU) + 2025 PHX FRP + mid 2029 FRP (PHX, HOU, DAL)
prolly Cam over Tate, but who knows + some draft picks

HOU: Butler (MIA) + Fox (SAC) + Love (MIA) + Richardson (MIA) + Burks (MIA)
    ship

The only way you trade for Fox is if it included FVV.
